I recently obtained several Vicodin ES pills, and though they look like they should from pictures I've seen I'm concerned.  They are very chalky, and I don't experience many of the side effects I do with say, Vic HP's or Norco's (euphoria, constipation to name a couple).  How can I easily determine if the pill is authentic?  Are they supposed to be smooth or somewhat chalky on the surface?

Phony Vicodin ES

I don't believe the pills you 'were prescribed' are real generic Vicodin ES.

I've been identifying pills for years and have seen so many posts concerning fake foreign meds.  Hydrocodone preparations are especially easy to spot as being counterfeit.

Here are a few reasons:

  • Vicodin products (hydrocodone and acetaminophen combos) are only available in the United States.
  • These combo products are not available in other countries at this time.
  • Pure hydrocodone is available in Germany and probably other EU countries as a single ingredient product prescribed as an antitussive (Dicodid).
  • No hydrocodone products are available in Canada except in syrup form as an antitussive.
  • Of course, Vicodin could be smuggled out of the country and then smuggled back in from another country.  But the cost would be prohibitive.

If your pill happens to have a little 'narcotic effect' it's probably APAP combined with codeine or dihydrocodeine.  Those combos are very common (and usually sold OTC) outside of the US.

 Vicoden is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP

Vicoden is CHEAP CHEAP CHEAP in a legit pharmacy even with out insurance.  If you say you had a real script from a real doctor. Then I would let him know what happend! Show all your info, ie; bottol it came in, papers, name of online pharm...ect ect. That way he can wright you a new one and get it filled at a repitable pharmacy for CHEAP!

sorry you got riped off! Their have been so many of these post latly. Hope you get the real vicoden soon! let us know if everything works out for you! Keep in touch

Online Pharmacy

...cannot legally sell Controlled Substances. 99% chance you got ripped off. Go to a real doctor. I know the online pharmacies are far from cheap.

No licit filler is designed to be "chalky." Undoubtedly counterfit.

Fake ES

So I most likely have been sold meds labelled Vicodin ES, just like the authentic ones, even shaped like they should be, but just with APAP codeine/acetam instead of APAP hydrocodone/acetam as the active ingredient?

BTW, I'm not even positive what APAP is, but am quoting the term anyways :)

How much codeine would you say is in the typical OTC overseas meds; specifically like the ones I described?  And yes, they're very chalky.

Thank you all for the feedback.

The standard OTC formulations available in many countries are 10 mg codeine and 500 mg acetaminophen or 10 mg dihydrocodeine and 500 mg acetaminophen.  It's possible the pill might contain a little less or more of the narcotic.

Most of the codeine or dihydrocodeine combo products are also available (with more narcotic) by prescription in those same countries.

APAP is an abbreviation for acetaminophen.  In the EU it's called paracetamol.  APAP = acetaminophen = paracetamol = Tylenol.

Fake Vicodin ES and RC 100 pills???????

Hey I received some of these Vicodin ES today.  Almost a bag full of powder!  Out of what I could make a count on there were 115 that were whole, but chipped here and there and a lot of powder!

I have never saw a brand Vicodin ES in person, so I don't know what to think about this stuff.

Came from Pakistan.

I also received some RC 100's does anybody know anything about them?

fake oc 80

They are bogus pills, they must contain a little something so you get a buzz for just about 30-45 min, but that is it. Not real at all. steer clear. My friend ordered some of them, they are from the supplier in pakistan, they will send you extra pills too that look real, RC 100, and VICODIN ES, they are all bunk. he lost about $240 on that deal. The taste of all of the pills are aweful, no telling what is in them. someone has done a wonderful job at counterfiting them, especially the vicodins, as they have several angle cuts on them, so they really know how to scam everybody.

VicNort-approved script. Did

VicNort-approved script. Did the scammers approve the script? If it sounds too good to be true, it is. Why wouldn't you take the script to the pharmacy in your town as opposed to the pharmacy overseas?  Your red flag to your story is the euphoria question as opposed to pain control question. You must be careful with this stuff from overseas.  Who knows what's in this stuff or what the sanitary conditions are like. Take care, htmom
