CO COD

Sorry, I don't know what your pill is.  But codeine or codeine/APAP might be a possibility based on the imprint CO COD.

How big is the tablet?

CO COD

Okay, that's a big pill.  Codeine tabs are tiny - smaller than Claritin.

So if the pill contains codeine, it also has probably 500 mg acetaminophen in the pill.

Check out this image of CO DYD - it's about 1/2 inch in diameter and contains 10 mg dihydrocodeine and 500 mg acetaminophen.  It's made in the UK.  The styling of your pill (color, score and similar imprint) sounds like it might be made by the same manufacturer.

I'll do more research, but I seem to remember that low dose codeine combo products are sold over the counter in the Bahamas.  Many countries allow low dose codeine/APAP or codeine/aspirin combos to be sold at the pharmacist's discretion.

More Research

A little more research found the following:

From Erowid.org

Bahamas #
Products containing low to moderate doses of codeine are available for puchase over the counter in the Bahamas. One product, for example, is sold containing 8 mg codeine to 400mg aspirin.

And the UK naming convention for combination products is prefaced by CO.  So I think your tablet is called Co-Codamol.  Here's an excerpt from Church Plain Surgery, UK:

Quote:
Co-Codamol is a combination of Codeine Phosphate and Paracetamol. Two painkillers. There are several preparations called Co-Codamol, some are tablets, some are capsules and some are dissolvable/effervescent tablets.

There are two strengths of Co-Codamol. Each contains 500mg of Paracetamol. This is the normal size of Paracetamol.

One strength of Co-Codamol contains 8mg of Codeine Phosphate and the other contains 30mg of Codeine Phosphate. Hence the two strengths Co-Codamol 8/500 and Co-Codamol 30/500.

Co-Codamol 8/500 is available without a prescription, "over-the-counter". The stronger Co-Codamol 30/500 is only available on prescription.

BTW paracetamol is acetaminophen (generic Tylenol).
