Small, round, pale yellow, "APO" on one half, "15" on other.
I've checked these forums, and others too! But can't find a good ID.
Any ideas what these are? Would really be appreciated, thanks!
Thanks for the reply! Hm, I looked at the image at Apotex - searched "Apo 15" then clicked the second link, "Oxazepam," but none of those look like the ones I have.
Also, I could have been a bit more descriptive - the "APO" and "15" are on the same side, separated by a line through the middle. And yeah, stared intently at them, they're definitely light yellow :)
Let me know if you find anything else, I'll continue looking too!
Edit: Went to two pharmacies: first said it was in fact Oxazepam. But my pills looked different than his. I was in a rush to get to the other pharmacy before closing, so I didn't follow up too much. The second pharmacy said that it wasn't Oxazepam, and he didn't know what it was. He said Oxazepam does in fact come in 15mg sizes whereas most others don't, but he wasn't convinced when looking at the pills. So.. the quest continues, I'll check a couple more pharmacies tomorrow.
Also.. any idea if these pills might expire? I'm not sure how old they are.
Thanks~
Hi totentanze,
While IANAP (I am not a pharmacist), I'm starting to believe it is oxazepam. I wrote a short program to find every imprint used by apotex (or at least all those on their website), of the almost 300 different types of drugs the oxazepam was the closest. Surprisingly, the picture does not match even their own description. They describe the pill as scored with APO over the 15. Yet the picture shows simply 'APO' with no score.... The 25 mg picture does match the desription of the 25 mg drug though. TeamPharmer, the admin of this board, has some contacts with several of the pharma companies. Mabye a quick phone call is warranted.

Some Canadian imprints are hard to identify. So far all I can find that's even close is APO-OXAZEPAM. Unfortunately I found two different descriptions:
From Apotex Canada:
15 mg - Orange-yellow, round, flat-faced, scored
APO one side and 15 on the other side
You can find an image of the 15 mg oxazepam tablet at Apotex Canada
From another source:
15 mg: Each round, orange-yellow, flat-faced, bevelled-edged tablet, scored and identified "APO" over "15", contains oxazepam 15 mg
It's possible the second description is an older imprint.
I've gone through all the medications on the Apotex website and can't find any other round pills imprinted APO 15 except a bright pink tablet. And I don't think it could be mistaken for yellow.
Sorry, but I'm not sure what your tablet is.
