I found quite a few of these tablets mixed in with a large bottle of tylenol PM, and its my guess they are OTC acetaminophen 500mg (generic tylenol extra strength) but I want to be sure. I keep getting a "fuzzy" search result from my typical pill ID sources as I am usually the one ID'ing pills, not asking for an ID. A good description of the pill would be a white oblong shaped tablet imprinted with a kind of PT looking symbol with the P a little higher up than the T, with the top of the T connecting to the middle part of the edge of the P (if that makes any sense) followed by A515. It is about the size and shape of a generic (or brand for that matter) 5/500 vicodin pill, not that it what I think or am hoping it is. I just want to know what exactly it is and that is my best way to describe it. Thanks in advance for any and all replies and I will be sure to confirm if someone has correctly ID'd my mysyert pill.

If the size of the tablet is roughly the same as the tylenol PM but the color is white than it is just missing the Benedryl. If they are much thicker and stubbier, than they are probably the vicodin 5/500.
I am just guessing since I cannot see them and I am not a slueth as far as Id'ing either but some things just make better sense than others and in this case, size seems to make sense.
Hope this helps.
Hi JeckPDX,
As a long-time member you know we aren't ignoring you, right?
Unfortunately I can't find a thing. Can't even find a PT logo other than a small p that is lower than the T (completely opposite your description).
Can you measure the tablet for us? It's a long shot but it might help.
It might be some US obscure generic OTC but you'd think we would find something with a similar PT logo in the databases. Maybe someone else will have more luck.
An image would be great. If you don't have a camera, try a scanner. White pills are hard to scan but it can be done. We'd love to see the PT logo. Thanks.
I do have a digital camera but its 7.2megapixels and e images are generally too big o upload. I think I can go into the camera menu and set the resolution to a lower megapixel but I'll have to play around with it a bit. Also, I am not familiar with uploading pics to the site but am more than happy to learn how to do so. "Hint, hint" Anway, for more description it is white and oblong, possibly with a light film coating with no score marks on wither side. The PT logo is kind of like a P with a T connected where the bottom part of the loop of the P connects to the vertical line of the P. The to of the P has a similar rounded look kind of like the purepac logo. The PT is on the far left of the pill followed by A515 all in a row, no spacing. It is the exact same size and shape as a watson 349 hydrocodone/apap 5/500 generic vicodin pill however I think it is OTC and in now way narcotic. I will try and figure out how to post a pic but if anyone can help me I'd be much appreciative.
Kirby, I of course know I was not being ignored and know several long time members very well. I havnt had as much of a chance to talk to you via PM's as I have other major contribitors. Feel free to PM anytime you like. I am really stumped as to what this is but my gut is telling me its generic 500mg apap (not literally, I didnt take any!) I hope I can find out soon and like always , all contributions are always welcome.
PDXIts been awhile so I will repeat, I know my post is not being ignored but can anyone ID this pill? PTA515 white oblong unscored tablet. If someone can tell me how to upload a pic to the site, I can do so if that will help.
Under your name on the LEFT side of the screen it says CREATE CONTENT, click it, then half way down the next page it has your common insert image BROWSE button, click that and find your pic. I hope you can get it from there.
JeckPDX, you know that some ID's take awhile, but a picture is always helpful.
Click on This link to get to the "Add Picture" menu.
Give your picture a Title.
Give your picture Tags (descriptives of the pill)
Click on "Browse", and go through your files until you find the photo you want to upload.
In the body, describe the tablet.

I am really getting curious as to what this tablet is even though I'm guessing its 500mg acetaminophen. I've tried taking several pics with a very high quality 7.2megpixel digital camera with a pro lens and I still can't get a clear shot of the imprint. It just looks like a white oblong tablet in the pictures I've taken. Please help me out and exhaust your resources to help me figure this one out, its really nagging at me. Like said, curiosity killed the cat. I don't really have any desire to take them, I just want to know what they are so I know what to do with them. HELP! Thanks to the tips on uploading photos though.

Try a Macro setting. And get the camera close. I have better luck using a crumby old webcam vs. my digital camera. I just make sure to get the lens as close as absolutely possible.
When I do use the digital camera, I have to use the Macro setting, otherwise the pill just turns out to be a fuzzy blob.

Follow gtrplayer's suggestion. Use macro mode. And don't use flash. Take the picture by a window with natural daylight. No sun hitting the pill or background; just nice natural light coming into the window will do.
I agree with you, JeckPDX. Since the imprint isn't in any of the databases, it's probably OTC.
I have a 'long-shot" thought though.
I've only see one brand of OTC tablets that had one letter with three numbers (plus company initials).
The company was called Pro-Active Labs based out of Georgia. Most of its pills were imprinted PRO C252 or L252 or other such designators. As far as I can tell, the company doesn't exist anymore. But it's possible Pro-Active changed its name and is still making OTCs. I think the company used to make a lot of ephedrine-type pills (bronchodilator/decongestant combos) plus other OTCs.
Sorry that this info isn't much. But it's a lead.
[edited by me] Sorry, but I think I have the imprints backwards. I think the company used 252C etc., not C252. But it's still a lead!
Sorry I'm A little late with this but I found this pill and in trying to i.d. it I found it to be a Costco Kirkland brand Acetaminophen 500mg. Costco item # 37966. pbr
Philbytheriver, thank you very much for the pill ID.
We really appreciate it.
If you read this comment, would you please tell us if there is an NDC number on the container or box?
Sometimes there is no NDC number on an OTC pill container. So, if you don't see a long string of numbers, just tell us.
If the NDC number is there, it will be a long number starting with 4 or 5 digits. I'd like to know the first set of digits since that might help us determine the manufacturer. Often it's the number of the distributor (Costco in this case) but it could possibly be the manufacturer.
The NDC number on the pill will look something like these numbers (examples only)
0363-0438-12 or 00363-0438-12
99528-714-10.
67618-300-200
All I care about is the first set of numbers. Thanks.

I know I need to be patient and it takes time to ID a pill and get back to me but I'm getting impatient as I am organzing ym bathroom/bedroom and this is one of the last things holding me back from completion of thses "chores." I just want to know what to label te bottle I am putting them in. So, once again if anyone can help ID my mystery pil, it would be much appreciated. I'm sure once Kirby, phisher, or grtplayetr among others will get back to me as soon as they sign on again. Thanks again, in advance, for anya and all future responses
