I have a white/yellowish oblonge pill, has a line down the middle on one side, and NO imprints. My friend had told me that it MIGHT be hydrocodone, but I can not find it on the internet when it has no imprints on it. Can someone please help me.
Thanks
It is not a vitamin, it is a perscription from the US, but this person had taken the label off and forgot what it is, so I need help Identifying this if you could give me any clues on how to do that? Website? Anything.
Hi pixiedustt01,
Phisher is absolutely correct.
If your white/yellowish oblong pill has no imprint it is NOT a US
prescription medication. And it is certainly not hydrocodone.
If
the label is missing, that is one thing. No big deal - we don't
need the label to identify the individual pills if they have imprints.
But if the tablet, capsule, caplet, gelcap or whatever does not have any markings on it, it is not a US prescription, over-the-counter or homeopathic drug.
It is a vitamin or supplement or foreign med or illegal substance, and unfortunately we can't identify it.
actually this is the best website i know of to identify meds. also i think you might have misunderstood me earlier. all meds in the united states are required to have imprints/numbers/symbols on them for identification. if the pill itself does not have any imprints/numbers ect on it then it is not a pill that is manufactored or sold in the u.s.
i promise. ask anyone on this site (or any other for that matter) and believe me this site has the best identifiers you will find. trust me. i can assure you that if it has no markings you will not get an accurate i.d. anywhere w/out having the pill tested which is very expensive. i am sorry to tell you that your friend is mistaken. furthermore hydrocodne is made by a limited ammount of manufactures and would definatley have markings of some kind. if you would like to see the markings of hydrocodone then look to your left where it says common imprints and follow the steps it is quite easy.
thanks kirby. it is good to have one of the pros on your side.
Actually, my friend had just found the label. They are Hydrocodone. Was his mother's prescription and asked her aslo, and she said the same. So it turns out they really are Hydrocodone.
I agree with Kirby and Phisher.
Actually, even if you found the label, it really doesn't matter.
I quote Kirby:
"if the tablet, capsule, caplet, gelcap or whatever does not have any markings on it, it is not a US prescription, over-the-counter or homeopathic drug"
Even though something is NOT POSSIBLE, people will still believe what they want. I guess this is one of those cases.
pixiedust, call your closest pharmacy and ask them about the imprint.

sorry but most likeley not hydrocodone and definately not a rx from the u.s. as all of u.s. rx are required to carry some type of identification.
i would say that foriegn hydrocodone is a possibility but as far as i know noone outside the u.s. makes it.
most likely a vitamin or other OTC substance.
