The brand Name of this pill is Vistaril, it has many indications, it is used to enhance opiates for better pain releif,( it is given to people before surgery to calm them plus it enhances the sleep meds & helps with the nausea) also as an anti-nausea Med. Also for anxiety ( alternative to a benzo esp; for younger people, some docs still care about getting people hooked on medications that after long term use you can face alot of problems coming off them, Benzo's are awful to come off of. But the first response was right it is also used as an antihistamine for itching, allergic reactions ect... Peace & Blessings 2 all!! P.S. This is a great medication with multiple uses, I love these kind of meds, where you can take 1 instead of 2-4 different drugs!!!
