That was my guess but was not positive. Could not find it on any searches. Thank You very much.
Hey guys, thanks! This forum really helped me too. I've been seeing weird behavioral changes in my son, and I found this same pill on the floor of his bedroom. I'm an 18 year veteran cop, and all my searches (including DEA websites) came up negative, until I ran across this website. Wheww!
Thanks again for the info! The investigation continues.....

This is an OTC nasal decongestant... sorry but I highly doubt that your son is experiencing weird behavioral changes due to the ephedrine. Perhaps he is just growing up(last i checked teenagers are famous for sudden changes in behavior) and has a cold but no he has to be getting high of decongestants because his behavior changed?
ANY teenager you see with ephidrine is not using it because their head is stuffy....You WOULDN"T BELIEVE the drugs that these high school kids can get there hands on...I know so many straight laced catholic schoolboys who are so strung out on oxycontin and xanax, i don't know how they can function.

Yes but there is a large difference between scheduled narcotics and otc medication. As far as I am aware none of the otc means of getting high are actually addicting in anyway compared to scheduled drugs. I dont deny that highschoolers these days will got to any means to get high as I used to see many people drooling over themselves from taking triple c's (dxm) during school although the amount of people taking opiates and benzos or being drunk in school was significantly higher than those trying to abuse otc medications. I wont deny that I have ever abused drugs before but I have taken ephedrine and dxm and other otc things and never had any interest in them. I guess everyone is different. The only danger I see from ephedrine or pseudoephedrine is possible methamphetamine production if you find a couple hundred of the pills in someones possession. I always thought that ephedrine was no more dangerous than caffeine as they are both very mild stimulants.
Ephedrine is much more incidious....You practially have to sign your life away to get it anymore....they're gonna want a stool sample next or something

also, some kids will mix ephedrine or pseudoephedrine with caffeine for an extra kick. A more serious abuse problem is using these as diuretics for weight loss (over and above appetite suppresant effect) which can cause dehydration; some deaths have occurred with drug induced dehydration and excersise in heat. Phenylpropanolamine took a hit because of this. Also, these are banned from use in certain sporting events, such as Olympics.
Yeah, I think it's funny that i can go in the phamacy and get a botle of 120 lortab 10/500, and not sign a thing, but ask for some sudafed....then you gotta give em your whole life story,

life story to the physician who prescribed it.
Drugstores are just covering their rear ends for liability.
That's true, and i"m glad they are.. It's hard enough for legitimate patients to get the medicine they need beacuse of the addicts and whathaveyou;......anyway...I could rant all day about that but......nuff said.
