Is this tablet discontinued? I cannot fing any Barr (555 imprint)products with that number. Or possibly an OTC preperation that is from Canada?

possibly discontinued

possibly discontinued.  All Barr currently lists on their website is a 500mg offereing which is a tablet that looks exactly like this 255 tablet except marked with 555 585 & barr on the otherside.

identadrug lists the 255 tablet.

pharmer!!

well, www.pharmer.org is my first choice, of course.

I've not used some of the subscription services so do not know about them.

identadrug is great for USA and Canadian Rx, but it Does NOT always have: images, the latest drugs, old drugs, OTC drugs, etc.  Identadrug did not have the recent "VP2" tablet.

Epocrates has good images and is easy to search but is often limited in scope.

DEA logo index is often dated but does cover more international products, OTC's, clandestine products, discontinued drugs, a large variety of drugs, and has more accurate manufacturer identification.  It is also limited with no images and sometimes sketchy descriptions.

Other freebe online seach tools sometimes are more cumbersome to use but often have good images and sometimes have a listing that others do not have.

Online sources should not be limited to the basic Rx search engines.  There are other resources.  You, solo, are adept at using governmental resources.  kirby and gtrplayer like looking at international websites, governmental and otherwise.  Manufacturer websites are often very helpful.

I typically first seach identadrug, then DEA logo index, then go from there.  If I get some indication of country or manufacturer then I look at those applicable websites and go from there.
