Whats up teva?  so your 'done clinic wont let u on until u test neg for benzos?  and u have been taking them for the last 4 years?  do u have a script for the xanax?  i know most clinics u cant be on benzos, with or without a script, fortunately my clinic u can be on them with a script from a shrink, not a regular doc.  so that must mean your clinic will not let u be on them even with a script?  i am on pins, which my clinic allows like i said, so i didnt have to worry about detoxing off them.  but like u said benzo w/d is bad and can be worse than opiate w/d, depending on how much u take.  but u said u take what 3 mgs a day, so it should not be too bad, it will probably be more mental than anything.  i have heard and seen on the internet that Neurontin, which is for a number of different ailments, mental and physical, is good to help with w/d symptoms from benzos.  I have the neurontin for nerve pain, but if i ever have to get off benzos, i will be takin those! 

It is very rough withdrawling from benzodiazipines, one of the worst withdrawls. I would say mabe try another clinic, they really shouldent have to worry if you have a ligit script for the xanax and are tolerent to them. It takes months to feel right after tapering the benzos. for it to get out of your system i would say probably 5 days to a week. Personally i wouldent come off cold turkey try and ween off or get your doctor to write you for phenobarbitol it will help with the benzo withdrawl. good luck.
