Does anybody have a line on what this big boy is?

It appears the brown stripe in the center is a glue attaching the two halves together.

Thanks for any and all assistance

Shire?

if you've not called Shire already, you may consider calling to see if this is one of their products.  I didn't find it on the USA or UK websites.  RP was Rexar logo for their stimulants.  Richwood bought Rexar then Shire bought Richwood.  If it's a Shire product, this may be any of a number of unusual stimulants.

consider

If shire, consider:

Phendimetrazine, dexmethylphenidate, modinafil, Lisdexamfetamine, etc.

the capsule looks a little crude for a shire product

supplement

Thanks to Kirby, I think this large capsule may be along the lines of the supplement image below.

Same coloring, same size, and Raritan uses RP imprint and makes stomach remedies mostly
Testing shows nothing controlled in the capsule, so I'm pretty convinced RP128 is similar.
Thanks Flounder for taking a look.

The capsule imprinted RP 128 is generic Metamucil Plus Calcium.

For future reference, Raritan Pharmaceutical's generic Metamucil without calcium is imprinted RP 119.
