Methadone aka dolophine has like a 2 hour perios before it peaks and then provides a analgesic reliwf for about 6 hours but is stores in you blood becausw of the halflife which i believe is 24 to 58 hrs, whic mens that if you took 4 10mg methadone tablets appx 3 to 4 hrs it will peak and them with is halflife it could be in your blood for days and if you take it cronicaly and not just a few every other day or a week it could vary.. the good thing is that most places whether its a pre employment teat, a probation test or so on most do not check for methadone (uless you were on a clinc or something. most places use a 5 panel test going for. opiates(morphine, oxycontin, diladud, heroin and so on. The only wasy they couod test for methadone is if they conducted a 10 panel test, there is a specific test for methadone but generally is you just rearly us opiates and took one 10mg methadose and dont abuse then you are prob looking at 4 days to be safe drink pleanty of water nd cranberry juice it dose something to help clean your liver or something and drink a huge ice coffe because after drinking all that water you dont want your urine to come back as diluted sooo dring like a galloon of water the day off and then have a hugh ice coffee so that your urine is nt clear the coffee will make it yello...my little of advice  pm me if needed

for a long time it is going to take a while.  Methadone and some benzos have a similar half life and I once tested pos. for benzos 26 days after stopping using them.  Granted, I had been rxed them for years.
