Does it matter if Endocet 5/325 (pretty sure it is a percocet product) is not quite taken as prescribed? With this tablet scored in the middle, and an Rx for take 1 OR 2 as needed for pain, what would be wrong with taking 1 1/2 or one Endocet 5/325 with a leftover Tylenol #3, less narcotic and approx same amount of APAP (300 mg instead of 325).
Perhaps I'm overthinking this...I just want to make the Rx last and save another doc. visit. Any thoughts? Does it ruin the synergy to mix APAP meds?
Thanks for the comments , and advice
Taking this slightly lower dose was just fine even for nighttime, which is more difficult. Makes me wonder...
Why don't docs regularly mix it up, and give patients different meds for the time period when they need relief? We've all heard about tolerance and upping dosage; doesn't it make more sense to play with formulations instead of the lazy way and just writing a plain one size fits all formula?!
the tylenol 3 is still safe to take. The only thing is that since ur taking one and a half percoset the half you didn't take is not equal to the T3 because T3 are equal to 5mg hydrocodone which is weaker than 5mg percaset. So you wouldn't get as good of a relied as if u took two percs. The tylenol is not really an issue because your not taking 4000mg per day of apap per day if your taking them as needed. So taking the codeine is no problem but will give you slightly less relied as the two percs
