oxycodone mix-up?

Hi,

 My pharmacy usually fills my 15 mg oxycodone IR prescription with the Mallinckrodt pill (small, round, green.... M in a box on one side, scored on the other with a 15 on one side of the score)...... However, when I filled my prescription yesterday, I got a WHITE Mallinckrodt pill. It still has all the same markings, and it doesn't feel any weaker..... but it's white.

Could this be a mix-up at the pharmacy, or do you think it's just a mis-print at Mallinckrodt?

hi, well if u are absolutely positive the number on the pills is 15, then maybe Mallin.  just changed the color or something because the white ones are 5's and have a 5 on them.  or maybe they are 5mgs but the company screwed up and put the 15 markings on them.  i really dont know.  if u say they dont feel any weaker then who knows, prob just a color change or a mistake with the color.  but id def ask at the pharmacy.

defective narcotic

I have been on just about every 15mg Oxycodone IR except the brand name because of the insurance cost. I have never seen what you have described but might very weel be a problem with the dye if that is how they manufacture that product. Quite odd but I know that you can not turn it back in to the pharmacy and I agree that you should get ahold of the manufacturer and scan him a copy and get a copy from your pharmacy if they will allow you to have one. Out of all things having to do with a narcotic this is a first I have heard of Cool

I think they must mess up

I think they must mess up with these quite often.  As far as I know, there is no registered Mallie 15 that is white, but I have had them on more than 1 occasion.

 

Weird.

if the 15 is over the score

if the 15 is over the score like your other tablets then it's probably okay.  I've seen many of these that are very light green almost white.
