oxycodone mix-up?Hi, My pharmacy usually fills my 15 mg oxycodone IR prescription with the Mallinckrodt pill (small, round, green.... M in a box on one side, scored on the other with a 15 on one side of the score)...... However, when I filled my prescription yesterday, I got a WHITE Mallinckrodt pill. It still has all the same markings, and it doesn't feel any weaker..... but it's white. Could this be a mix-up at the pharmacy, or do you think it's just a mis-print at Mallinckrodt?
Thanks. ( categories: Pill Identification )

hi, well if u are absolutely positive the number on the pills is 15, then maybe Mallin. just changed the color or something because the white ones are 5's and have a 5 on them. or maybe they are 5mgs but the company screwed up and put the 15 markings on them. i really dont know. if u say they dont feel any weaker then who knows, prob just a color change or a mistake with the color. but id def ask at the pharmacy. defective narcotic
I have been on just about every 15mg Oxycodone IR except the brand name because of the insurance cost. I have never seen what you have described but might very weel be a problem with the dye if that is how they manufacture that product. Quite odd but I know that you can not turn it back in to the pharmacy and I agree that you should get ahold of the manufacturer and scan him a copy and get a copy from your pharmacy if they will allow you to have one. Out of all things having to do with a narcotic this is a first I have heard of |
