doc is now trying to take me off vicodin, and puting me on soma/codeine compound .......

tummy troubles

9 times out of 10 my stomach has bothered me if i have taken hydrocodone with a lot of apap in it.  thats what does it to you, the apap.  i mean lets say u take 5 7.5/750s a day, thats 3750 mgs of acetaminophen a day which if im not mistaken 4000 is the daily limit.   when i first started using opiates, obviously it was vics and percs, but it was for the high not for pain like you.  so I used to take way more than that and then drink on top of it!, lets just say i used to go thru a LOT of ZANTAC, which helped the acidy pain where your stomach is all messed up and you feel like u are burping up gasoline.  so id try the zantac or the generics work just as good, its Ranitinidine, the spelling might be off but ti works.  u might hafta take 2 or 3 depending how bad it is.  but while u are taking the soma codeine thing, try the zantac.  as for gettin off the victors, why dont you tell your doc that u need something for pain and the soma etc wont cut it all day long.  see if u can get percocet 5/325, or 7.5/325 which they do make but its not as common as 7.5/500.  or even try for the oxycodone immediate release 5mg, this has no apap so it will give your insides a break.  but i do know what u are going thru.  good luck
