This perscription of mine is a soma codeine compound. The Generic tho.
it is a white & yellow tablet imprinted with E 749 on one side.
The RX is labled as this IC Carisoprodol CPD-Codeine TASAN.
was just wondering if anyone knows what MG of soma is in here and what MG of Codeine is in it.
have no idea, and am curious.. doesnt seem to work at well as my generic soma 350's and the codeine is killing my tummy.

no wonder my tummy's a mess... :0) and muscles still in spasms..... 16 mg of codeine doesnt seem like much of a help either...
i was looking on manufacture site,(sandoz) and well got no where... lol

I think thats because Sandoz bought Eon and I dont think theyve updated there website with all the Eon products yet.
You should tell your doctor that there is a new Soma 250mg (Warning! This is new and will be expensive if you have to pay cash for it!) tablet that he could get you some samples of if he doesnt want to Rx you the Soma 350mg anymore. Or atleast write for Soma 350mg and Tylenol #2 or #3, this combo is a lot cheaper and wont mess your stomach up as much as the aspirin in the Compound.

Oh yeah~ I just printed out a cupon for $30.00 off the new soma 250's... was on the website looking to see if they had any type of patient assistance for thier rx's... I will sure ask Doc.. Thanks for the Info~ never thought of the tylenol 2 or 3's.... it makes good sense... my tummy's been in trouble for months,(no pain until the soma/codeine hit it) and they say its from the narcotics' so he was in process of takin me off the vicodin ES and trying me on the soma/codeine compound right before i lost my insurence.....
so all tummy tests are on hold... would rather not be in this much pain on top of all the other pain..

Yeah, like solo said, unless you have a codeine allergy, it is the aspirin that is getting to your stomach.
Have you tried taking them after meals, or with a glass of milk? Maybe even tums/baking soda to neutralize the stomach acids.
Or even ginger tea (fresh). I had problems with my daily Ibuprofen for awhile, but after making sure I take it with food, and drinking a daily cup of ginger tea, it is gone. The tea is easy/cheap to make too. Just get some ginger rhizome, peel it, slice it muddle the slices (beat them/crush them to release constituents, which I believe is some type of phnolic compound), and then let it steep in about 24oz of water for 20 min. I use about 3oz of rhizome per pot, and it works well. It is also a good natural energy boost.

If you never had any stomache problems before trying the soma/codeine/asprin combo I would assume it to be the asprin as you were already on hydrocodone so I doubt its the codeine. My stomache can handle almost any opiate yet the second I take any asprin my stomache is cramping and in pain as is with a couple other people I know. Perhaps try eating them with food which is what i normally do if i take aspirin and it minimizes yet does not eliminate the stomache discomfort or do as Pizz stated above however I have no experience with the effects of ginger tea. I would suggest taking the soma compound with food and if not then suggest to the doc of a switch due to the aspirin irriatating the stomache.
