I got these xanax,they have a G|L on one side and a nothing on the other.They are oval and cream colored . Any ideas???? please help,it would be apprecited, are they good??

I tried one last night. Out lke a light in 30 min. If not generic ambien it must be cyclobenzaprine or something like that...........Oh Well,at least they wont go to waste. It just bothers me because they came from a reputable site I have used for years and they guaranteed they were xanax.live and learn

these may be alprazolam
they may very well be alprazolam, especially if they came in a blister pack marked that way. Overseas manufacturers often use the same marks for a number of pills, perhaps Global may use "GL" for many different products. Apparently, Global does make Aloram brand alprazolam marked "GL"

2 sites insisted they were xanax, but for 1 pill to put me to bed when I take 4-5mg of xanax normally(non generic from my doctor) I cannot believe they were xanax

If you are that tolerant to xanax, then I can't see one ambien putting you to sleep. Ambien is similar to xanax and equivalency charts show the effects to be about half that of xanax.
Check with a licensed MD before you take any suggestions!

Ambien v. Xanax
I agree regarding Ambien vs. Xanax. If you are tolerant to Alprazolam 4mg dosing, then it is very unlikely a non-BZD hypnotic like Ambien would have that strong of an effect. One possible consideration is your diet before administration. Did you consume anything that would cause increased plasma levels of any type of hypnotic (benzos or otherwise) that you maybe don't normally ingest? Speficially CYP3A4 and CYP2D6 inhibitors. Azole antifungals, a host of antivirals (and a few antibiotics), some fruits including grapefruit, and a few other oddballs like cimetidine (Tagamet). It is unlikely that any of these would cause such a marked increase in effect, but it is possible. I have seen both Azole antifungals and grapefruit/juice + cimetidine cause significantly higher plasma concentrations of medications metabolized by these isozymes (including certain benzodiazepines) in inpatient settings with daily lab values available...

No to the above on the diet
No to the above on the diet(just a sandwich and a beer 3 hours earlier) and no to the different meds mentioned.And I am not completely tolerant, just need more than some after all these years. Other treatments did not work, both natural,medicinal and therapy.
P.S.
Although I have been prescribed both ambien,for sleep problems, and xanax for anxiety ( No I do not take them both even in the same day...usually) Xanax will just calm my panic attack while non CR Ambien will hit me like a ton of bricks. I cannot explain it, maybe it is how they react with my BP meds and such.

These are 100% real xanax 1mg tablets I have gone through hundreads of these and they are real and they are good. I prefer this brand to alot of US made meds they seem almost overdosed IMO, but that might just be placebo. But trust me they are 100% Alprazalam 1mg tablets

Sounds like it maybe Lithium!!
If from what you said, you have a tolerance and they are knocking you out. And someone else on another board said they taste a little bit like salt, then it could be they are repressing or just sending Lithium. Is this Globalpharma by chance. Sounds like a bunch of scam artists. Talk about putting your health at serious risk!!

ALORAM by Global Pharmaceuticals (nothing to do with 'GlobalPharmOnline) are indeed alprazolam 1mg; I just don't like them is all. The name-brand XANAX by Pharmacia made in PK carries the imprint 'Xanax 1.0' rather than the more usual 'Upjohn 90' but appears to be exactly the same. They certainly ARE good. I haven't tried the NERVIN by Werrick but a friend has and says they are 'average'. Hilton's 'ALP' brand 2mg bars are absolute garbage.
In general, Indian alprazolam is better than Pakistani, ALPRAX by Torrent being probably most common and the best brand. But the Pakistani made brand Xanax is, as I said, perfectly all right.
What I'd like to know is where to get hold of temazepam soft-gel caps; there are a couple of very expensive generics made in the India/Pakistan area, but I would rather see the brand-name NORMISON or EUHYPNOS capsules. They seem to be almost impossible to find, yet the pretty poor RESTORIL brand is the most commonly seen. I know of a Belgian pharmacy which sells Euhypnos with prescription but don't know if a UK Private Prescription would be accepted in Belgium. The pharmacy in question also sells 40mg LYSANXIA prazepam and Roche 1mg ROHYPNOL at pretty good prices, so if only they would accept a UK script for meds no longer available WITHIN the UK, I'd be happy. Anyone enlighten me?

if you do a google images search of "ALORAM" the first pic is a very large pic of off-white, oblong, tablets marked "G/L" like you describe. Global Pharmaceuticals produces Aloram but they do not list it on their website. Aloram is made in 0.25mg, 0.5mg, and 1mg dosage units.
