Dear Dr. Lois, Because of all the Oxycontin generics being discontinued I have been researching Morphine. Now because of my Medicare D plan ALL brand name narcotics are covered with only 10% of the price of that med. I have to see my doctor in the middle of the month, my doctor knows about my problem regarding this and I know you prescribe AVINZA morphine so I am guessing that it is a brand name. Anyway I was wondering if a 3mg morphine to 2 mg oxycontin is sufficent. I am now on 40mg x 3 of Oxycodone ER,I have only taken morphine while in the hospital and was to badly hurt to remember how morphine works Would 60 mg x3 of Morphine be about the correct amount. I have checked about 3 different narcotic conversion graphs and this seems about correct In your opinion is that right? Thankx
