Curious about liquid methadoneI was curious to know how much 10mg of tablet methadone form would be in liquid form. I am assuming that going from tablet to liquid would be from MG to ML correct?? ( categories: Chronic Pain and Pain Management )

the clinic liquid done i was on was 10mg per ml so that would be 1mL of liquid per 10mg pill when i was on 170mg at the clinic they gave me 17 mL of liquid which when i had an ulcer they gave me 17 10mg pills for a few months... thanks a whole bunch methadone
A friend of mine had to pick her script up yesterday as she is off on her holidays.... she is on 60ml of liquid meth a day . Instead of lumping large bottles of methadone around with her (2wks) the doc wrote her a script for 12 5mg tablets daily to take instead, so mg is the same strength as ml when it comes to converting , well it is here in the UK anyway... hope that makes sense... thanks. liquid 'done
OK to put it the easiest way, being a patient at a clinic, i can pretty much measure the amount of mdone in one of the little cups they give us. U know like the tiny plastic cups that u buy for mouthwash or whatever. 5mg- doesnt even cover the bottom of the cup 10mg- would just BARELY cover the bottom of the tiny cup. my dose 195mg- if u measured the amount in inches like from the bottom of the cup to the top of the medicene, mine would be roughly 1/2". So basically a teaspoon is 5mgs That is how concentrated the liquid methadone is! so if u get a dose of 5 or 10 mgs u definately cant drink it without adding water coz if u tried to drink 5mgs alone, it would just disperse and hang around in your mouth, its not even enough to swallow without diluting it. Hope this helps. Now this is if you have the oral concentrate. Im not 100% sure, but i think there may be an oral liquid that isnt as concentrated. Yes exactly what solo said, 1mg in i mL, so as to not overdose and kill yourself, id find something that measures in mLs, like a baby medicene spoon or dropper at cvs or something like that. So u got the kind that isnt concentrated much, which i guess is better, less of a chance to mess up the dose. As for the DTF i dont know what that means. Liquid anything is the best, i got a bottle of liquid percocet(roxicet) and it was 5/325 per teaspoon. my buddy had his tonsils out and it made him sick so he gave it to me for my chronic neck pain. No mdonia..... the stuff you get here in the UK is a horrible green colour .... tastes like a thick sugary drink ? horrible ... i used to take it some time (yrs) back , y"know , to keep the monkey off the back . I"m Actually looking after some one"s house while they are away on there hols , still had a nearly empty bottle in her cupboard. take care... ps- the strongest meth pills here are 5mg, to deter abuse i suppose, the same with the liquid 1mg ml ..... liquid
Ohh green huh? i hope it doesnt taste like the green nyquil, ewww, gag! the red stuff we have at my clinic isnt bad you can definately taste the medecine in it but its kinda cherryish, like a light cherry flavor. its not the best, but it could be a whole lot worse! I used to use Roxanol which is liquid morphine sulfate, and it was this clear gross, drink that had NO flavor to hide the drug taste at all. alone it tasted like what i imagine moonshine to taste like. it was soooo gross, but since it was as concentrated as the methadone i take, i used to fill up a shot glass about 1/4" and that was around 100mgs, and fill up the shot glass with apple juice and drink it down. the apple hid the taste pretty good. even if i had to drink it straight...I WOULD! it was worth it .. methadone
imagine pouring a pound of sugar into 5ooml of water, add some green , colouring you get the pic .... they sometimes prescribe some anti - sickness tablets with your script as it is very hard to keep down... and yea, yukkkkk. PS...... thanks for clearing that up solo... i"m so thick sometimes. |
