Does anyone know what types of permanent pain conditions would arise from having a discogram done in an incorrect way. I ask because ever since I got a discogram, it is like i am experiencing these shocks and tremendous weakness since I had one. I was wondering because at first I wondered if it had anything to do my original disability, how ever I get this spider feeling in my leg and back and have extreme pain from it. Someone please tell me of any other effects or symptoms that can occur with a discogram, this is fairly urgent.

Thank you!!!!

I am afraid its been approx 3months

I am afraid that its been approx 3 months since I had mine. The pain has been very specific. A pain that had become specific only after this discogram and was different then the other type of pain I had.

Discogram

Hi I had mine in April and my symptoms have gotten worse, similar to yours. I asked my neuro and he said that my nerve damage is so bad that when the test was done, the nerve was more than likely hit (SO COMFORTING) They found a tear in my disc so this will be my 3rd surgery if I have to go through with it, but I never get any better.  Enough about me. When you can. let me know your symptoms before and after I would love to compare notes.I hope you feel a bit better soon and hope to hear from you, you have my sympathy.Nan

First of all

First of all my friend it is considered a PAIN PROMOTING TEST.

What they do is they inject fluid into your disk. This needle is promoting pain to duplicate (hopefully) which specific disk is causing specific pain. This lets the doctor know which disk is causing the most pain. They make you relaxed but hold on!!! If they need to determine which disk is causing so much pain.....YOWWWWW!!!!!

Sorry I tried to isolate the patient from the doctor language but I couldn't!!!!!!!!!!!! Just relax.....

Cheers!!!!!!

YES but my baseline was a 5

YES but my baseline was a 5 already. But it shoots up to a 10 on your bad spot.
