I have been suffering from severe pain in my abdomen with nausea and at first they said kidney stones then said no it was my appendix then ruled that out and said possibly cyst's on my ovaries, well any how they first gave me generic vicodine 5\500 and they didnt help then while in the hospital I recieved in and hours time two shots of morphine and a shot of tordol and yet was still in pain and that should have knocked it out cause I dont even like to take tylenol, so any how I told the doctor that none of the drugs work and he gave me norco 5\325 and I was wondering what the difference was concidering when I got the script filled it also said hydrocodone just like the the vicodine and its a lower dose? Are they the same thing?
I just wanted to agree with Eagles07. They are both hydrocodone drugs the only difference is the norco has 325mg tylenol and the vicodin has 500mg. The norco is better for your liver if your taking a bunch of them in a day although you could take up to 8 of the vicodin before you reach the daily limit of tylenol intake so the norco isn't really necessary but some people get an upset stomach from too much tylenol. either way I would deffinitely prefer and be happy with the norco 5 compared to the vicodin.
Vicodin and Norco are both Hydrocodone drugs, it looks like the olny diffence you got was a little less tylenol, 325 in the Norco, it was 500 in your first scrpit. Both had 5mg of hydrodone though.
