i posted this in a diffeerent forum i am new to this sorry. i was recently switched from 7.5/750 vicodin to 7.5/200mg vicoprofen. i know the easy question of the difference in ibprofen vs tylenol. my question for those of you in pain like my self(injured in Iraq) or those who take for other type of pain. Is the effect the same? i assume that it is better for my liver due to the fact there is 550 mg less ibprofen. Please help

Tylenol is excreted via the liver. Ibuprofen is excreted via the kidneys. The problem with Vicoprofen is that it is indicated for short term use, less than 10 days. The is mostly due to the fact that IBU can be really bad for some peoples stomachs. If your pain has anything to do with inflamation, the Vicoprofen will probably give you a slightly more relief. If it has nothing to do with inflamation and you werent getting relief from the Vicodin ES I wouldnt expect much of a change.
