i have to have surgery on my back friday and my dr didn't want me to take my meds for 2 days prior. i forgot and took my pecpiption pain medss . how long will the 80mg of oxy stay in my system? i compleaty forgot urgery i wasn't supposed to take it i don't want hurt my sryurge

Just make sure you tell the anesthesiologist before surgery. I can't see where it will make any difference or why he told you to discontinue all of your medications two days before surgery.

Note the sneaky use of a log scale on the y-axis which makes it appear that serum concentrations are sustained at high levels for a long period of time.

I know, that makes no sense
I know, that makes no sense to me as to why he told you to discontinue your meds prior to surgery. I've had probably 10 surgeries and was NEVER told to stop my meds. Now if it was a blood thinner such as Coumadin then I could see the reason. Strange.
