does any one know if percoset and oxtcontin are the same meds but one has time release and one does not

yes
oxycontin is extended release and percocet is usually a preperation with apap. Unless you get oxycodone HCL, which is just oxycodone. regards, _JpD_
OxyContin and Percocet have the same active ingredient (oxycodone). The only difference is that OxyContin is a long lasting Oxycodone and Percocet is a shorter lasting Oxycodone.
