Is this legit Roche rivotril?Hey I recently received a bottle of 100count rivotril 2mg roche brand from a source I have only had good experiences with so far.... I have had several sources for rivotril in blisters and bottle, and this bottle doesnt look like the others I've had before. Everyone (or many) here probably knows how the roche brand looks. Picture of roche icon: http://img.alibaba.com/photo/11602956/Roche_Tationil_600mg_10x4ml.jpg (unrelated product box) The blue square, pentagon, hexagon or whatever it's called, is orange on this bottle. On this bottle it says that the product is made in the UK, rather than in switzerland as it says on the ones ive had before. I have never seen this orange colored roche sign anywhere before. Except for that, it looks good. Is this legit stuff or fake? I was sure it was fake at first, but this would be a rather too obvious thing for the counterfeiters to do...Just 1 color wrong... thanks for help peace rizla ( categories: Pill Identification )
Roche Orange Logo
Your bottle of Rivotril is probably real. Roche apparently uses different colors for its logo. See Roche, The Netherlands for some examples. Click on an image and the next page will show the packaging and also gives a link to patient information. For instance, Tamiflu has a dark green six-sided logo, Xenical has a pale green logo, Cellcept has a purple logo and Rocaltrol (orange and white gelcap) has an orange logo. Not sure if the colors have any particular significance. I don't think it's the country of manufacture since German made meds have at least two different colors per the patient info sheets. I only looked through a few so, if there is a code, I haven't deciphered it yet. Maybe different colors are attributable to different license holders who manufacture the meds for Roche? Roche Valium is made all over the world by different licensees so it's possible other meds are made under license for Roche. I'm not a pharmacist or a medical doctor. This message is not medical advice nor is it an offer to provide medical advice. All drug identifications should be validated by a licensed MD or pharmacist. Yeah, that must suck... For
Yeah, that must suck... For anyone who are wondering the same thing, here is the response I finally got from Roche UK:
Rivotril® (clonazepam) – Roche logo ...You queried the authenticity of a bottle of Rivotril tablets with an orange Roche logo appearing on the packaging.
I can confirm that Rivotril supplied to the UK and Ireland have an orange Roche logo on the packaging of the 2mg strength of tablets, and a green Roche logo on the packaging of the 0.5mg strength of tablets.
When previously packaged in blister packs, the Roche logo was coloured blue on the packaging for both strengths of tablets. |
