Fake oxy 80'S!!??Hello everyone! I was wondering if anyone had information on the fake oxycontin 80 mgs. that i have heard about. They look the exact same as real ones, but they dont have any affect. I heard that pharmacy's carry these fakes to give to thieves who hold up the pharmacy. They dont want to give these people a bunch of real oxys so they give them fake ones. I think that sounds pretty crazy, but i know there are fake 80s, i just want to know why they make them? i know this doesnt really matter but im just curious. thanks ( categories: Discussion of Prescription and OTC Meds )
Fake OxyContin 80mg tablets
It wouldn't surprise me at all if there were such things being sold on the 'black market'. Being that a single 80mg OC costs GBP £20-25 on the streets, there is a HUGE amount of money to be made by counterfeiters. Personally I would NEVER use an OxyContin which did not come from a blister pack and had been dispensed by a Pharmacy. I have never heard of fakes being made for hold-up situations in the way you describe. Diazepam is another drug which suffers terribly from counterfeiting. I have posted a photo in the image gallery of a fake 10mg diazepam, many of which were circulating in my area for a long time a year or so ago. Currently, there are fake TENSIUM brand 10mg diaz available (since Tensium carries only the brand name and not the strength), apparently the white 2mg tablets have been coloured by a blue food dye, and sold as 10mg, bringing large profits to the scum who do this sort of thing. They are easily identified by their soft texture, when real 10mg Tensium are quite compacted and firm. There has also been a HUGE batch of fake ARDIN 10mg (a Pakistani generic) as well. Make sure that any OC you buy is in its original packaging is the best course of action to avoid being ripped off. Though some operations even extend to the expensive counterfeiting of the blisters and boxes as well! "NEVER ingest anything unless you are 100% sure what it is." Fake hold-up pills gotta
Fake hold-up pills gotta be, well, fake. Pharmacists malpractise insurance is already high enough, I dont think they would add wood to the fire by carrying fake meds that could possibly get dispensed. However, it is possible that this same 'company' in India is also pressing fake OC 80's and selling them via the internet to illegal US buyers. BE CAREFULL!!!
one domestic fentanyl lab discovered by law enforcement, in April 2006 Ca.. The lab was a source of counterfeit 80 mg oc tablets containing fentanyl instead of oxycodone, the fake ocs looked indentical in every way.Fentanyl is extremely dangerous due to respiratory depresion. Overdoses are hard to treat due to the way fentanyl is absorbed.FOr goodness sakes be carefull people .if someone you know or yourself has overdosed please seek medical treatment immediately!
i am no doctor, but anyone can tell you that overdosing is dangerous.also look up Fentanyl for yourself there are other ways to come into contact with it,such as a heroin substitute Solo is right. I worked in
Solo is right. I worked in hospital pharmacy, and they would never stock anything in the pharmacy that was not a legitimate medication. There is enough problems with dispensing the thousands of drugs already out there, without adding something that was not authentic. The is a huge discussion on
The is a huge discussion on here from a couple years ago about fake OC 80's. Also the Fake 80's containing fentanyl didn't look anything like the real ones. There were two large seizures at JFK international airport and logan national airport where fake counterfeit Oxycontin tablets were confiscated. Along with the seizure mentioned by solo. http://www.pharmer.org/node/3796 http://www.pharmer.org/node/12605 http://www.pharmer.org/node/6033 Check with a licensed MD before you take any suggestions! |
