MSD 734

Your blue tablet imprinted MSD 734 is RENITEC PLUS (20 mg enalapril maleate and 6 mg hydrochlorothiazide), a drug that helps control high blood pressure.

RENITEC PLUS is made by Merck Sharp & Dohme, Australia.

Here's the description from the Consumer Medicine Information leaflet:

RENITEC PLUS 20/6 comes as a blue, rounded triangle shaped tablet marked with MSD 734 on one side and a triangle on the other.

And here's a banner image that includes the triangle side of the tablet in the foreground. Original image from Merck's website:

Thanks

Kirby,

Thank you for your help. If I may ask, where did you find the information? I thought I had done quite an extensive search but to no avail.

 Thanks again.

Based on the imprint, we know the manufacturer. It isn't a pill that's distributed in the United States so that meant researching other countries.

Merck has good worldwide websites, so I started with the English speaking countries.

First I went to the Canadian website and went through all the product descriptions and didn't find a match. Then I tried the UK - nothing. Next was Australia - bingo! I read each CMI hoping to find a match and finally did.

If nothing showed up on the Australian product list, New Zealand was my next stop. If nothing showed up there, then I would have suggested you email or call Merck in your country of residence.

It's fun to track these things down!Laughing Thanks for the opportunity.

Looks like a very pretty pill according to the banner image. Could you please photograph or scan the pill for us? That would be a nice addition to our Foreign Gallery. Thanks so much.Smile
