I had a post recently, "stuck between a vic and a hard case." Why did it magically disappear? I did nothing wrong period. This disgusts me, that Certain individuals went way off subject of what I was trying to find info on, and it got deleated. Why is it that I ask a legit question, my post gets nixed. Please can someone explain this to me. thanks,

Jsmack

Hey Jsmack...........I had a

Hey Jsmack...........I had a problem with a post this morning and I wrote to the TP Administrator and they cleared it up for me in a matter of seconds. Send them a post and see if they can help you or give you an answer. I also noticed that the posts on here are looking a little different. Have you noticed that? Kind of like our posts are off balance with our name/picture. Maybe it's just me. Maybe they are updating the site. Who knows. But send the TP Administrator a post & see if they can help.

If it was indeed deleted by

If it was indeed deleted by a mod or admin I wouldnt put it past them. No offense to them but in the past month or so I know my posts were being edited when there was nothing really wrong just stupid little mistakes but nothing that really went against the rules that they felt like changing so I wouldnt put it past them if one person said something wrong and then the whole thread got deleted.

I can answer that for

I can answer that for you.....price difference diacetylmorphine is a lot cheaper and i dont think the schedule II are stronger mg per mg when we are talking about the pure opiate salts . Also I see no reason why we cant discuss diacetylmorphine(hair owen lol) when speaking about it relative to medical issues. It is schedule I now but It was invented to be a morphine alternative and used to be used extensively for pain control back in the day. I know someone who is handicapped in a wheel chair and has excrutiating pain constantly(shattered his back in many places in a dirt bike accident). He does go to a PM doc but he also self medicates with diacetylmorphine on the side because it is the only thing that eases his pain. He also never appears high or out of it. He takes just enough to ease his pain. His doctor has him on 80mg oxycontin 3 per day and he wont go any higher and wont give breakthrough med and he is still in excrutiating pain. It is my belief and just a belief that diacetylmorphine should be dropped down to schedule II and be made in pill form perhaps even a time released one and perhaps IV vials for at the hospital. It is a potent pain killer and could be very useful. I dont see the withdrawals or side effects from diacetylmorphine any different from any other opiate alkaloid. They are all opiates and all havetolerance and dependence issues

Spence,What you posted is

Spence,

What you posted is the type of stuff that will get deleted. If not by me, maybe some other mod.

We are not here to discuss heroin. We will talk about heroin only when someone makes a vague mention of it when talking about coming off of it, and are asking for  what kind of medicines are available to make the withdrawal period more comfortable.

If, for some reason, you feel the need to discuss heroin, go to Bluelight.ru, or Erowid

For the record, I fully expect my post to get deleted, as it should be. However, I am posting this because you do not seem to grasp the concept of this site. Go over the regulations and guidelines, and then start posting sensible questions. If you want to discuss heroin, go somewhere else. It's time to start cleaning up this site, starting by getting rid of posters who frequently run astray of the rules and regulations.

Personally, I am getting sick of it. I know I am not the only Moderator getting sick of it, so think before you post.  Most of the people on this site are extremely well educated, either through experience or through formal education. Start showing it, or don't post.

We have lost so many great posters recently due to the fact that this site has become overrun with posts that have nothing to due with the sites intention. Phisher, who is a good friend of mine through here as well as various sites, has quit coming and posting due to the fact it's always the same thing we are talking about. Incognito vanished around the same time all of the talk was about people who were going to go cold turkey, or needed advice on how to taper, etc, etc.

We have some great posters left, who I hope will not leave the site: Kirby, Goat, Freakonaleash, Solo, Flounder (wherever you are), and 4andsic. I would hate to have them get sick of the site as well.

To TP, I take full responsibility for the Chronic pain forum since it was my idea to include it on here. I realized everyone on this board, seemingly, was in chronic pain and thought it might be useful. However; I did not foresee all of the posts that would ask how to get their doctor to prescribe more narcotics. Folks, your doctor is your doctor. If you do not feel you are getting adequate relief, ask for a referral to a new doctor. Also, please realize, not all painful situations require narcotic pain relievers. Sometimes an infection is the cause of pain, sometimes a sprained ankle will hurt and the swelling needs to go down and the docs use anti-inflammatories. Just because you are not getting narcotics does not mean you are not receiving adequate care, you are just not getting your drug of choice.

Please, everyone, read the rules and regulations. I know I went way out of character in chastising certain individuals, but I am also one of the posters who is getting tired of seeing the same darn thing over and over.

If you want to talk about the illicit drug use, go to bluelight or Erowid. If you have a question about a pill, come here. If you can't keep your posts relevant to medicine (spare me the WWII references about methadone, morphine, and the conversions of morphine to heroin and all the structural changes that takes place through the first pass, I don't care. I just want the site back to it's original purpose.

By the way, "Hair Owen" = "Stew Pid"

i have been here

2 years now....big whoop i know but things have changed here a bit and it bothers me...most of my first couple hundred posts were mostly ids..not little posts on this and that....gtrplyr is 100 percent right with his post imo...this is a pill id site...with a forum to chat on pain issues...not all these questions on drug tests and whatnot....the mods let a lot of stuff slide and it should stop with people being banned perhaps...its that serious here. Stop going around the filters/that is wrong...think before you post.

AMEN

I came to this site to ask questions and to learn things about the meds PRESCRIBED to me and some of the things other people have been through such as surgeries, chronic pain and meds that I am not sure of. Even though I am new here, it really bothers me that people take up space with things that as was stated belong on another site.I have great admiration for some of the people here (You should know who you are) and appreciate all the help I have received.Taking up space with nonsense that could be used to really help someone to me is just selfish.Again, I would like to thank all you guys who have taken the time to help me.It is much appreciated. All The Best, Nancie.

I have to agree with some of

I have to agree with some of the posters here that the site has changed as of late.

I am not in the top ten of those who post on a regular basis. (I prefer quality to quantity) but I've been posting here longer than a few and I've seen some changes

I get the definite feeling that there are those here who feel that because they have more posts than others that they have more rights than those who do not.

This should not be condoned

On another note while this may be a pill id site at it's core, there are other reasons why people come here.

Times change and so does the web and this site is no exception.  We should be embracing those changes. The free exchange of ideas, thoughts, etc. is what in my opinion keeps this website interesting

Pill ID is a fascinating field but to stick to it and not discuss other topics would be a mistake.  That said, there does need to be a limit as to what is discussed but to limit those topics to pill ID only would create more issues.

With all negativity and those who feel that their opinion is the only one that matters, I too have stopped posting as much as I once did.   In fact I've been contemplating leaving the site altogether.

I'm sure no one would miss my commentary or thoughts

i

have no problem with chat as long as it contains no "drug lingo" and questions of how do i get this med is just wrong....you get the med from a dr who prescribes it if you fit the criteria...Should the posting rules be modified? I do not think so. jmho.  i respect your thoughts quahog...and you do make excellent posts. thank you for keeping it decent.
