I was wondering is there really such a thing as percocet 15mg or is it  just mistaken for a rococet or roxycontin?

Must be thinking of

Must be thinking of Roxicodone. Have never heard of "rococet" or "roxycontin"

If it is a 15mg tablet of

First off, no, there is no such thing as a 15mg Percocet, the highest Percs are made is with 10mg of Oxycodone; and second, Percocet = Oxycodone and Acetaminophen in one pill, i.e. 7.5mg Oxycodone with 500mg Acetaminophen. If it is a 15mg tablet of Oxycodone w/o Acetaminophen, which it 99.9% likely is (Because there is no company that makes and sells a formulation that comes with Acetaminophen and 15mg of Oxycodone in one pill, unless it has been custom compounded) then it is indeed a 15mg Roxicodone (Immediate release Oxycodone) pill. It is guarenteed that it is not a Roxicet pill though, (And there is such a pill) because Roxicet like Percocet, also contains both Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, but only comes in two dosing sizes, one being identical to Tylox, 5.0mg Oxycodone w/500mg Acetaminophen, and the other being 5.0mg Oxycodone w/325mg Acetaminophen. And just for the record, there is no such thing as Roxicontin, this name cotradicts itself since "Roxi" = Immediate release and "Contin" = Continuous release. HTH.

Ummm...there are both 15mg and 30mg Oxycodone tablets!

Uhhh....as far as I know, there are TWO oxycodone pills (immediate release, zero acetaminophen) that exist. One is green and small, with no score on one side and on the other side a score with a capital letter A on one side and the number 214 on the other. This is a 15 milogram percocet. (INCREDIBLE pill I might add...) The other, which I have yet to come across, is identical to the pill I just described, only it is BLUE instead of green, and has the number 215 instead of 214 on one side of the score. These percocets are far, far better in terms of killing pain than any OC40 or 80 thats out there, plus they don't junk you out like the contins do. A script to these is to die for.......I hope I am getting these when i am on my deathbed. (these pills are much better for your liver too; as too much acetaminophen can harm it)

Yes, I already knew that

Yes, I already knew that Oxycodone Immediate Release w/o Acetaminophen (Roxicodone) comes in both 15mg (Green) and 30mg (Blue) tablets. However, if you read the original question (Or the title of the thread even), it is asking exclusively about the 15mg version of the pill, and that is why my answer did not mention the 30mg form, which I hope did not offend you.

Also when you say "Uhhh....as far as I know, there are TWO oxycodone pills (immediate release, zero acetaminophen) that exist.", you are wrong; there are actually three; they include the already discussed 15mg and 30mg Roxicodone tablets mentioned above, and last but not least, your very common run-of-the-mill 5mg Immediate release pills (Also Roxicodone; immediate release Oxycodone, with no Acetaminophen). The 5mg Roxicodone pills come in a few versions. One is a capsule that instead of Roxicodone goes by the brand name of OxyIR (That you guessed it, stands for Oxycodone immediate release), which depending on the company who manufactures the product, can range from half orange and half beige to half dark brown and half beige, etc. The second version is a round tablet, like the previous 15mg and 30mg Roxicodone formulas discussed, only in white, which is the most common. And the last version of these Roxicodone pills (Immediate release Oxycodone) in the 5mg formula is the orange colored, round, tablet by a company that goes by the name Ethex Corporation. The reason this pill is orange is to denote the user that the forumla that Ethex uses is one that will gel up to deter any abuse.

Something else you typed in your reply that stuck out to me was "One is green and small, with no score on one side and on the other side a score with a capital letter A on one side and the number 214 on the other. This is a 15 milogram percocet.". This information is false. The tablets labeled A214 and A215 are actually forms of Roxicodone (Immediate release Oxycodone) as explained above, not Percocet. Percocet is indeed a form of immediate release Oxycodone, however "Perco" = Immediate release (Oxycodone) and "Cet" = Acetaminophen. Just a heads up.

Another small bit of information worth noting is that if you were to be prescribed any of the 5mg, 15mg, or 30mg immediate release Oxycodone medications discussed in this thread, chances are the RX label on the bottle would say Oxycodone or Oxycodone immediate release (Generic equivalent), substituted for Roxicodone (Brand name), followed by the dosage size of 5mg, 15mg, or 30mg.

And one more thing, the A214 (15mg) and A215 (30mg) that you mentioned, are just two of multiple imprints for those dosages of Roxicodone (Immediate release Oxycodone). There are actually a few more out there manufactured by companies other than Amide (Such as Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals and Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals to name a couple, if not all) but that is another topic for another day. Hope you understood everything I was trying to explain. Let me know if I can clarify anything a bit further for you. Thanks for reading!

hudson- i don't mean any offense here, but you should start a new forum post when asking this question instead of adding on to a 2-year-old post. just a thought LOL
