Actually, it's not a generic

Actually, it's not a generic equivalent of Vicodin, it's Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals' generic of a NORCO 10 pill. Norco is the brand name version (Manufactured by Watson Pharmaceuticals) of a 10/325mg Hydrocodone/Acetaminophen mixture; so you are correct on that aspect.

Just for reference, Norco comes in only 2 formulations, where as Vicodin comes in 3:

NORCO (Watson Pharmaceuticals):

NORCO 7.5: 7.5/325mg

NORCO 10: 10/325mg

----------------------------------

VICODIN (Abbott Laboratories):

VICODIN: 5/500mg

VICODIN ES: 7.5/750mg

VICODIN HP: 10/660mg

I stand corrected....

...but, which do you think a lay person would understand better, Norco or Vicodin( without having to look it up)?

Someone always there to find

Someone always there to find one that I forget. LOL. Watson does make a generic and Norco brand 5/325mg Hydro/Acet pill. From WatsonPharm.com, the generic version is quoted "Compare to: Norco® 5mg/325mg, a registered trademark of Watson Pharmaceuticals".
