I show that
Pentazocine dosage is 25 mg 3-4 hrs
Percocet dosage is 5-15 mg per 4-6 hrs
Darvocet dosage is 100 mg per 4-6 hrs.
Based on this, I'm going to hazard a guess and say Talwin is stronger than Darvocet and both Talwin and Darvocet are a lot weaker than Percocet. however, this is only my nonmedical opinion and only a trained pharmacist can actually give you a correct answer.
Talwin, Talacen and Talwin NX are not well known medications and can cause confusion.
Winthrop T-37 is Talacen.
From rxlist:
TALACEN is a combination of pentazocine hydrochloride, USP, equivalent to 25 mg base and acetaminophen, USP, 650 mg.
The prescribing information states:
Adult. The usual adult dose is 1 caplet every 4 hours as needed for pain relief, up to a maximum of 6 caplets per day.
You got acetaminophen 650mg, pentazocine hydrochloride. It's like some strong asprin.. No it isn't stronger than a percocet. Percocets have oxycodone and some acetaminopen.. These have no oxycodone.. Which is the narcotic part..
