WATSON 349Does anyone know how Watson 349 hydrocodone compares to M357 Hydrocodone as far as strength and ingredients are concerned? M ( categories: Discussion of Prescription and OTC Meds )
They are exactly the same
They are exactly the same strength and as far as ingredients are concerned they might have different non-active fillers in them because there from different labs. Both are 5/500mg (generic vicodin)
My comments posted on this site are the expression of my thoughts pertaining to the questions posted. Questions concerning real medical situations should be presented to a medical profesional ASAP. Tablet Identifying should at best be the only help Hydro/acetaphine 5/500
They are the same, differant phamacies used differant brands. Some people use 10/500 apap for cronic pain, and sometimes switching back and forth between the two works better. Lower dosage sometimes works better for some people. If you become dizzy, then most likely you are taking to strong of pill. the acetaphine is what makes the Hydrocodone work to releive pain. If you think the 5/500 is to weak then drink a cup of coffe. This will help the hydro work better until you get back to doctors office. watson347-m357
i know it sounds weird because everyone keeps saying they are the same but...ive been getting the m357 until i have surgery for my pain then all of a sudden i get the watson..so i started taking those and when i ran out i found a m357 and it seemed to be alot stronger than the watsons and really helped me with pain alot better, i dont know what the deal is...and ive had to go to a few different pharmacies just depending on where im at and they all have watsons now instead of the 357 Same Here
I have been given the 357s from my pharmacy too until my dr made a change in the frequency Im supposed to take them (2 to 3 times) and now instead of the 357s I got the watson 349s which seem weaker to me. They don't really take care of the pain like the 357s did. I think the Watson 349s are weaker also. Mallinckrodt vs Watson
I just posted a really lengthy "concern" that I have about the same subject. It's under "Mallinckrodt vs Watson" active forum topics, if you would like to read it. I hope that you get a chance to and respond, I would really like to chat with someone else about this subject. I know that as a general rule of thumb, generic medications, controlled and non-controlled, have approximately a 20% less or minus rate of efficacy. I've often wondered if that may be the problem ... Looking forward to hearing from you, Ren Watson 349
Im pretty sure that its all in your head, because I've experienced it before when I was prescribed the Qualitest brand 10/500s, you know the huge pink ones with the V on them. Its probably due to the fact that you are used to what you are taking and you KNOW that it worked, but when there's a change up you have a unsure feeling about it, and I know from experience, your mood can REALLY affect how a pill affects you. Because I know if I take my pills, and Im in a bad mood, or if Im in a average mood, not really happy about anything I'll just feel average on them. But when something excites me or if Im happy about something, it's intensified by the hydrocodone and it seems to be working better. Thats just my 2 cents. Good luck! Watson 349
That is so bizarre! Ren
