Help small white round pill no underscore with an S on one side onlyTrying to identify small white round pill blank on one side with an S on the other side and no underscore. I have gone through entire site I think and still can not find what it is. Please help. Thanks, Jamie ( categories: Pill Identification )
Quote:S on the other side
Quote: S on the other side and no underscore What do you mean by underscore? Are you meaning the pill has no score? By score meaning the pill does not have a line down the middle in order to cut it in half, or that the 'S' is not underlined?
Doesn't happen to look like this does it? A pill with just an S is an obscure imprint. These are VERY difficult to search for. We will probably need to see a photo of the S to see if anyone recognizes it.
Is there any possibility that the pill could actually be a mint? This happens all the time, we even have a section dedicated to it, Mints Masquerading as Medicines. It doesn't have a photo matching your description, but that doesn't mean a thing. You might try and smell it. Other than smelling a hint of minty freshness, or someone recognizing a photo, this one will be tough/almost impossible. small S round white pill
The pill does not have a line down the middle. On one side it has an S and nothing else, on the other side of the pill it is completley blank. The size is so small that you can put 4 of them on 1 dime. Tried to take a picture but the picture won't come out except all blurry because it is so small and white. The S is similiar if not exact to the S on the one shown but again their is no line on the other side or anyside!! Could be overseas hydrocodone???? Would appreciate any help and thanks for replying!!! Quote:Could be overseas
Quote: Could be overseas hydrocodone????
This is highly unlikely. Hydrocodone is very seldom used outside of the US, and when it is used, it is usually mfg in the US. (However it is mfg by some foreign companies. The shape is inconsistent with hydrocodone. That being said, due to the size it makes it easier to rule out hydrocodone. Sorry, but this one will probably remain a mystery. did it by chance come from
did it by chance come from cambodia? if so then it might be a 10 mg morphine IR. although i cannot confirm it. all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. very enlightening
very enlightening answer. vague imprints, such as the one you mentioned are extremely difficult to i.d. do you have any idea how many white round pills there are in the world? answer = a bunch. when you add the equation the fact that a pill might be foreign, it can complicate things considerably. when we search for a pill, it is the norm that we inquire about the geopraphic location or country in which it came from. that gives us a better chance to i.d. the pill. even with all the information such as: color, shape, size, imprint and orgin, we still may not be able to locate the correct i.d. fact of the matter is that if you choose to be vague, the chance of i.d. greatly diminishes. as incognito observably stated, "this pill, unfortunately, will probably go unsolved". if you would like us to continue trying then we will be happy to, if not, then that would be great also. at any rate, if you would like to submit a picture, well that would be grand. all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. Not trying to be vague
I really appreciate the help, seriously. I will try my best to get a pic I tried before but it kept coming out blurry!!! The pill is so small that 4 of them fit on a dime and my camera blurrs out that close but will continue to try. I was told in a vague way, but I am almost 99.9% positive that it comes via mail. I do not know country or anything else besides that. I would appreciate if you find anything to let me know and I will see how far I can get with my camera. Thanks again!! Not trying to be a problem, trying to solve something ;) Jamie ahhh... i see.cool.get us a
ahhh... i see. cool. get us a pic and we will see what we can do. once again, it will be hard b/c it is so vague but it never hurts to try. thanks. phisher all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. Image of "S" pill here finally!
Here is the pill I have been looking to find out what it is, I finally have the picture here, so any help would be appreciated. It is flatter than it looks in the picture. The picture shows the front of the pill and the back of the pill. Thanks everyone. Jamie i am looking into the
i am looking into the question and attempting to follow some leads though they might or might not lead us to a conclusion. thanks for the picture. if we can get the maker of the pill that could potentially help a bunch (key words there though are "if" and "potential". we will continue to try. all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. "S" pill more info may help
I don't know if this will help or not because it is all a ? for me. I do not know if it is the same source but the "S" pill may have come from the same source that had a Vitamin C looking pill, the pill had no markings at all it looked exactly like a Vitamin C but it definitely was not a Vitamin C it was a vicodin or of the like that I am positive of, what I am not positive of is if the Vitamin C/vicodin pill with no markings is from the same source as the "S" pill, if it is from the same source I know it comes from mail 99.9% sure and the Vitamin C/vicodin came in packaging that was .... trying to think how to explain. The Vitamin C looking ones were in a foil pkg where you could see the front of the pill and just pop it through the back where the "foil" was. I hope this made sense really trying here, they did not come in a bottle they came more like a generic benedryl would that you have to pop the pill through the back but you can see the pill on the front side of package. Anyway not sure if their is a correlation between the Vitamin C thing and the "S" pill anyway but it could be, just thought some more info may help and really hope it does not confuse even more!! Thanks for all your help. Hope you are having a great day! Jamie thanks jamie!all the info
thanks jamie! all the info you give us helps. the foil wrap that you reffered to is commonly called a "blister pack" and is common (ecspecially in foreign pills). is there any chance you could give us any information or writing that might be on the blister pack? it might not say the name of the drug by might give us a clue to the manufacture. as the previous posters stated it is most likely not hydrocodone since the drug is relatively rare outside the u.s. however, it could very well be another pain medicine similar in action to HC. keep us informed and we will keep checking. thanks again. all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. Blister pack
Unfortantely I was not close enough to see the blister pack so no info to give their Phisher small round people!
Do you get a chance to look at the link that incognito left where it goes into an topic called small round people? lol Was just wondering your thoughts if you did look at the old post and did anyone their have a pic somewhere on this site?? If nothing else the name of the topic was funny anyway! Jamie yeah, i had looked at it
yeah, i had looked at it however it really did not clear anything up. unfortunateley b/c we dont know who makes the pill or even which country it is from it will be very difficult to get a good positive i.d. i wish there was more i could do to help, but for the time being at least my hands are tied. however, we will continue to look. all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. Unscored small white flat pill with "s" on one side
I am also trying to ID this pill. It sounds exactly the same as the one you are talking about. It's supposed to be from Pakistan and is supposed to be 2mg Hydrocodone without the Tylenol added. I also suspect it could be dihydrocodeine or possibly morphine. I don't think that Hydrocodone is manufactured there. What someone said about a children's low dose Hydrocodone pill from China is interesting, though. I will try to find out who the manufacturer is if there is any possible way to that...this is a tough one... I Have the Same Pills
It comes from an online pharm in Cambodia as one certain place. It is supposed to be 2mg Hydrocodone without tylenol like the former post said. Tried them--didn't do anything, but I could have had naloxone still in my system. Have you or the person who posted just before me (on May 11th) tried them? I took them to a pharmacist today and he has never seen it before...not surprising since they are not from the States. There is no way of knowing for sure if it is hydrocodone. You may be able to find out if it is an opiate in this way: Buy an at-home drug test for opiates (all opiates, not just heroin), dissolve some pills in water and run it through the test to see if it comes up positive as an opiate. I remember seeing feedback from one guy who claimed the hydrocodone were complete fakes. If you don't take any other opiates, you could also take a few, wait some hours, and then urinate into one of those drug testers I was talking about. The pharmacist I talked to said I could take it to a poison control center and they would prob. find out what it was, but I don't want to be implicated in anything illegal...especially with mail-order meds. I want to know if anyone has taken any of them and felt what feels like hydrocodone I think I took 10 at one time and felt nothing, so I have gone back onto my suboxone treatment (i.e. I cant do these tests myself anymore .. I would test positive for them anyway as I take buprenorphine every day). Also, for some reason I remember vaguely of these supposed Chinese 2mg Hydrocodone pills for children containing atropine in them. I will measure a pill tomorrow to find the exact weight, but does anyone know why atropine would be added? Does atropine take away from the pain-relief associated with hydrocodone, or just make it a better cough-medicine? Thanks...I will let everyone know whatever I find out when I know anything new. Meanwhile, if you are that interested in discovering what it is, try my suggestions. To find out exactly what it is made of, take it to poison control and say you found your dog eating them in your backyard. Poison control will run mass spectrometry and gas chromatography on it to discern all chemicals present. (edited by TeamPharmer) Sorry
Sorry there guitar master...obviously I didn't know about your harsh set of rules. Wrong country anyway. No trace possible, no reply would be received from anyone without other knowledge, and contact info is kept secret as well. So all is still in good shape. From now on I pledge to keep my comments in the "broadest sense" possible. The pills come from a country included in the original formation known as "Pangea." My apologies again for stepping over the invisible bounds of this websites' seemingly strict posting-guidelines. This in mind--are there rules to look at? Rules
Just in case you missed our rules, they are as follow: We have a few simple rules for posting:
These rules are mentioned in the very first post in the first forum. http://www.pharmer.org/node/78 READ. And digest the information if you want to be a good member of our community like gtrplayer and several other well-respected members. Thank you.
No Opiates in Pill
I did a Marquis Test on the "S" pill and on a "DHC 60" and acetaminophen all at the same time so I had a negative and a positive control. The DHC 60 turned royal purple right away. the acetaminophen did not change colors at all. The "S" pill had 2 different results (I did the test 2 times to be sure) one time it didnt change colors. The second time it turned a dirty olive green color. No pink or purple though...which means opiates. Got IT!!
I finally got in touch with a pharmacist in a country east of Europe. He has informed me that these pills (I sent him that picture you posted) are 15mg codeine, not 2mg hydrocodone. The company claiming them as hydrocodone has not responded yet since contact 3 days ago and today. Will let you know. Small white round pill
I originally posted this question at another site & was directed here. The pills I found look very similar to the ones posted here except that they are thicker than the ones shown - about 3/4 as thick as they are round. They have an 's' on one side & nothing on the other - they are indeed tiny & u probably could fit 4 on a dime. They did come from Cambodia (I have now found the envelope they came in as well). "Supposedly" they are 5mg Hydrocodone. I took a couple just to see (because I have been prescribed oxycontin before & supposedly hydrocodone is basically the same thing ie) 5mg oxycontin = 7.5mg hydrocodone). I have also been prescribed codiene contin & I'm thinking they are probably codeine as well - altho I'm not 100% certain. Hopefully someone out there can tell me for sure now that we know exactly where they came from. Possible manufacurer of mystery pill
Hi Krusty, RK S Tablet
We can't merge the threads, but here is a link to the thread dated July 2007: http://www.pharmer.org/node/8173 I'm not a pharmacist or a medical doctor. This message is not medical advice nor is it an offer to provide medical advice. All drug identifications should be validated by a licensed MD or pharmacist. I obviously cannot say for
I obviously cannot say for sure, but there is a product in that part of the world called SS Bron Manufactured by IsuIsu this is what SS Bron is suppose to contain. dihydrocodeine phosphate 2.5mg, dl-Methylephedrine hydrochloride 4.1mg, chlorpheniramine maleate 0.6mg, anhydrous caffeine 7.5mg So it would be a small tablet, and the S on the tablet kinda makes a little sense, although I cannot find a picture. The final word on the small white S pill no scoring
I can tell you with 100% accuracy that the pills discussed here with the small "S" are not Hydrocodone or Oxycodone. While I know you do not discuss pharmacies specfically, they originated from a Central Cambodian pharmacy that tried to sell them a few ways. They first tried to pass them off as Hydrocodone and when they were unsuccessful, they attempted to pass them off as "specially made in China" Oxycodone. The owner has admitted to me personally that they contain neither. The point I am trying to make is please do not take them. They were not prescribed from a doctor and the person who sent them really does not know what he sent so please do not ingest them. I hope I did not break any rules of posting, but this question has been around for some time (the company is still pushing them on unsuspecting people) and I wanted to warn everyone they are no good. |
