Hydromorphone (Dilaudid)
Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) is a very powerful narcotic pain med and a schedule II controlled substance. You can view the strength of Hydromorphone in comparison to other opioids with our Opioid Comparisonchart. For more info, you may want to take a look at the monograph from DrugDigest Does it look like this?

gtrplayer Hydromorphone (Dilaudid)
Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) might work better for you than Hydrocodone or Oxycodone that really depends on you. Again Incognito referenced a opioid comparison chart up above that would answer your questions about strength and addictiveness. The higher the scheduling the more potentially addictive the medication is, so being that Hydromorphone (Dilaudid) is schedule II it's potential for addictiveness and abuse is very high. My comments posted on this site are the expression of my thoughts pertaining to the questions posted. Questions concerning real medical situations should be presented to a medical profesional ASAP. Tablet Identifying should at best be the only I agree with Da Purdue on
I agree with Da Purdue on this one. From all I have ever heard, Hydromorphone is definately a drug that should not be taken lightly. As far as it working better than hydrocodone and oxycodone, I think this has been discussed in one of the other threads, but not sure which one. Hope this medicine works better for you. gtrplayer From experience I can tell
From experience I can tell you that Hydromorphone was great at stopping nerve pain dead in it's tracks. Unfortunately, I ended up with some nasty sinus headaches . As for whether it would work great for you or not, Purdue said best when he said it depends on many factors. I also feel that it would be a wise idea to discuss this with your doctor. |
