Please Help Identify this diet pill with Medix on itA friend of mine is taking some diet pills she got from mexico, but she is thinking about having a baby and was concerned about any possible side effects. We can't find info on the pill. The capsule is clear with pink, white and blue little balls inside. It contains blue writing on it "medix" and the logo for the same "Medix". She also has drops she takes before meals (with the pill) that bottle is labeled with "Talla Baja" and "Laboratorio homeopatico de propulscra" and "licopodium clavatum 3c" The picture isn't that great... Good point! I should clarify, she is not planning on taking these during her pregnancy. She wants to know if they are safe to take before she gets pregnant (she isn't planning on having the baby for another year or so), but wants to make sure the pill isn't harmful in the long run. Medix Capsule and Lycopodium Clavatum
Medix Capsule We can't positively identify the capsule based on the Medix imprint and symbol. Many foreign companies use the same logo on all their pills. Check out the company's website and browse through the products listed. There are no physical descriptions like color, shape or imprint but the diet pills are all capsules. See this post for a different Medix capsule.
Lycopodium Clavatum This is a homeopathic preparation used throughout the world. Do a google search and you'll find a lot of information. And you can find a summary of all the ailments lycopodium supposedly treats at bbc.co.uk I'm not a pharmacist or a medical doctor. The pills we take, each morning, are the same as in the first picture; clear capsule with bright pink small sphere's inside....we have know idea what they are and it is kind of scarry taking something that we don't know the name of.....I am not sure if it is the capsule's or the drops that are working or the combination. PS. No need to apologize for the grammer, if I wrote in spanish I am sure not many people would understand me at all.. January 6, 2007 - 5:48pm
More Info.....
Answering the origin of this topic, if you want to get pregnant, you have to "detox", about 3 months before trying,( the "detox" is gradually leaving the pills and drops( first week one day you take, one day you dont, the next week two days no, two days yes, etc...)with a combination of juices of lemon, jamaica, and i dont remember the other one,(idont know the translation of jamaica word)until you dont take any pill and drops, the same if you have given birth and are breast feeding, you cannot take the treatment!!!!, i ask her about the pill, and she told me that is make of a fungus chitoe?, I know for a fact that if you dont take the pill, you get anxius, about the drops you take them 5 min, before eating and they eliminated the grease of the food that you are eating, so that your body take the grease that you already have in your body, this is what they told me... Im still trying to know more about the damns pills...... P.d.-Sorry again for the grammar. January 13, 2007 - 4:37pm

Since Valium is a CIII controlled substance taking it across the boarder is illegal. May 11, 2007 - 4:16pm
???
Lois, are you sure about that? i am fairly confident that Diazepam/Valium is a CIV and not a CIII (at least in the u.s.). i am not sure but can find out what sched/cat it is in Mexico. i know that their (mexico) sced/cat is different in some regards to the u.s. furthermore, as i am sure you know, oftentimes when medicines are compounded in this fashion (if i am reading you post correctly), they scheduling changes. for example; while codiene by itself is a CII, when certain other meds are added it can become a CIII-CV. i know in TN there are still several pharmacies that sell codiene cough syrup without an Rx. though most pharmacists do require i.d. and some paperwork. in short, could you clarify your statement? all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. Oh yeah, in addition, it is not illegal to take meds across the border. it is illegal to smuggle meds across the boarder. it is also illegal to bring meds across the border without claiming them at customs. however, there are certain provisions that will allow someone to bring controlled medicine across the boarder. all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. I believe that some of the
I believe that some of the fall out of the laitril (sp?) debacle was that drugs that are not approved in the US cannot be brought into the US. Drugs that are available over the counter, such as Tylenol with codiene in Canada, cannot be brought into the US unless you were issued a valid script by a Canadian doctor. Now, with more Americans going to Canada or using low-priced Canadian drug stores to get their valid, non- scheduled prescriptions filled, customs had been seizing and holding some drug shipments as they come across the border. Even checking with customs first doesn't help you because the final decision is up to the customs agent you are talking to at the boarder! Saying that bringing valium back from Mexico is illegal was a pretty simplistic statement. However in my experiece you don't want to give customs any reason to delay your entry, bacause they will for spite alone, and confiscate your goods. May 16, 2007 - 2:54pm

your probably correct. the only exception to that is perhaps if you have a DEA waiver. i am not sure how that would work. i do know that they allow certain people in certain positions to order meds legally from abroad. once again, i am not sure how this would play out in this senario. all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. here is a link that shows a cut and paste straight from the DEA's website that shows the scheduling of drugs. i know that all doctors with prescribing privileges get a copy of this and must indicate certain respects of the prescribing practices in order to renew their licences. all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. Sorry, you are absolutely
Sorry, you are absolutely right. I knew it wasn't a CII and since the III and IV and V prescibing practices are the same for physicians I do sometimes get confused. We really get very little direct support from the DEA regarding controlled drugs, which creates a lot of apprehension among doctors who are not pain management specialists regarding prescribing high doses of long term narcotics. I also just read that in my state, CII scripts expire after 60 days. I think I said it was 30 in another forum. May 16, 2007 - 2:35pm
It really isnt a big deal at
It really isnt a big deal at all. i just wanted to point it out. i was confused at first b/c i wasnt sure if you might have been insinuating that it is a CIII in mexico. it may be, i cannot recall off the top of my head. i do remember once i was trying to find a particular mexican drug manufacture and in the process i stumbled across mexicos DEA equivalent which had all their drug scheduling. at any rate, it is a mute point. take care, phisher all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. Pill not Redotex
This pill looks like Redotex, but does not contain the following: Clorhidrato de d-norpseudoefedrina OR Triyodotironina It only contains 0.002 mg of Diazepam, and not sure of how much of Aloina and Atropina or hongo sitaque. I visited the Medex website and got a list of drugs they manufacture and cross checked that with the following medical website: http://www.libreriamedica8a.com/alfabetica/A.htm No luck. And, yes this drug will cause a random drug test run positive...so check with your employer before you even try. As for the drops, someone told me it was rubbing alcohol and water? Who knows if that is true or not. So what is the pill? April 1, 2007 - 7:22pm

Not Redotex

Hi jeceeka, If the pink capsule imprinted Medix isn't Redotex, which diet pill is it? The company makes several, and I assume all are imprinted with Medix only. Any hints will be appreciated. I don't know
The personnel at Talla Baja would not disclose that information. All I have is that information I previously submitted. They claim it is not Redotex. Please note that the locations that are selling this in Mexico are not doctors or nurses, just franchise owners. I personally felt depressed while on this medication and saw no results. Another coworker got sick and stopped taking them as well. I suggest to stick to diet and exercise, I lost more weight doing that ...than this diet. Plus, they require you not to exercise while on this diet... because you will not lose fat (due to its conversion to muscle). A bunch of BS if you ask me. I returned to the gym and continued by venture through exercising and I ended up losing 5 lbs of muscle or gaining 5 lbs of fat (whichever way you wanna see it). Personally I do think they are Redotex because I research each drug listed at the Medix.com website and neither compared to what Talla Baja's pill contained. Plus, I've met people who have bounced back from this diet and thensome. April 5, 2007 - 1:34pm
redotex
It is redotex these places dont want to tell you what they are because they know you wont need them anymore, also cause they are making a killing they sell you a 2-week supply for $50 when you can buy the bottle of redotex for $35 and thats for a 1 month supply, you will need a prescription though, but sometimes they will just sell you the prescription for $10 but still is a lot cheaper on the long run,as for the pill it does work ive been on it for 4 months and have lost 40 pounds it really reduces your hunger,as for the drops i dont take them,as for side effects i havent felt anything,it does say to take them for 6 months which i plan on doing. April 7, 2007 - 6:47pm
Redotex prescription
I think it is redotex too. I know one place where they charge 100 for a prescription. Where do go to get a 10 dollar prescription. April 25, 2007 - 5:11pm

hey, I see you found where to buy this pill and the drops at $50 for a 2 week supply. can you give me info on that, I'd like to get some. thanks for your help. do you take 28 drops of the liquid? May 7, 2007 - 4:37pm

Talla Baja Diet
Hi everyone,
I' ve been very intrested in reading all your comments.
I've been taking the pill with the drops, and follow the diet plan. IT DOES WORK. BUT, if anyone can help me to really figure out what these pills contain and what the drops contain, would be really appreciated. I took drug test for a job I was suppose to start Monday, and according to them my drug test came back positive. But the drug that came out is an anti-deppressent. AND the diet pills where the ONLY thing that I had been taking. I asked before I took the drug test to others that have taken the pill to see if it would show up. ALL said no it wouldn't. But thats what happened to me. THE PILLS, THE DROPS, and they're diet plan (WHICH IT'S REAL EASY) WORK. They are not sold in pharmacys in Mexico, we got them through a friend that goes down to TJ to get them. PLEASE HELP. May 11, 2007 - 3:12pm
Where in TJ HELP!
Can someone give the direction exactly where in TJ they find these pills and drops? My wife used them and she dropped 20lb. in a month. So far no side effect that she notice, except that she looks great. I want to take some but the person that got it for her no longer wants to get it because she feels it's addictive and dould not disclose where she got it. She also took a drug ntest for her employer while on these pills and she passed it with flying colors. Would appreciaqte any direction someone can give. May 17, 2007 - 2:08am
to my understanding employer
to my understanding employer screened drug tests do not test for anti-depressants, as these are not usually abused or scheduled. I am just speculating here though. Could they have said they found an anxiety medication? Alot of times anxiety and depression meds get mixed up by people who do not know much about them. I read that these pills everyone are taking contain valium- which could be an anxiety medication that would come up in a test. No offense to everyone on here who are genuine and the pills worked for them, but this whole post seems REALLY weird. there are NUMEROUS new users on this post, probably just joining to get in on this convo to ask about the pills. I myself have never heard about them until now and it's weird seeing so many people jump in to ask for more. As I said, no offense, but it reminds me of the drug-seeking behaviors associated with controlled substance abuse. Which almost makes you wonder about these pills... Just as someone said, the chemical makeup can be changed, and the scheduling changed, when dif. chemical are mixed- could this be a pill that would otherwise be highly controlled due to chances of possible abuse? Who knows... It also seems that in between all the new user's comments asking where to locate, we have our regular posters making comments about whats allowed and such, and it's like they are not even there--no one's listening. It's just like get out of my way--give me, give me, gimme! Like I said, WEIRD BEHAVIOR! I'm a social worker, not a medical professional. All comments and thoughts are simply my opinion and experience. May 25, 2007 - 1:36pm
