The Kadian pills that i was fammiliar with and used for killing withdrawl pain is an effective pain killer. They were the yellow capsule 20 mg kad's extended release (as I refered to them) my source had over 10,000 of theese capsules so they were very cheap and effective for pain managment. However when I used them it was only for abuse and to knock withdrawl pains in the face. The experience that kadians give are clear still today in my mind because i went through withdrawl so much. For me they made me feel warm, "high", and no W pains. For you Captterry i would give them a positive rating for a non opiate abuser truly wanting an effective pain managment solution, but for an opiate abuser you would/ I needed to take more, then later i would be cured, and screwing my life up more and more.

P.S. Kadians are a generic MS Contin which is Morphine Sulfate Contin, but dont let the Contin fool you, they are suposed to be mg per mg = to OxyContin but from a X Addict I'm telling you that they are about 35-40% equalivelant.

Ti am pretty sure that kadian is designed to be a 24 hour release not a 12 hour release.  That being said, that only thing that it has in common w/ ms contin is that it has the same active ingredient and that it is designed for sustained release.

PHISER- ARE YOU AWARE OF A 12 HR. RATHER THAN 24 AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE FOR WHEN I SLEEP. THE TELEMETRY BRAIN TESTS SHOW CHRONIC PAIN IS AWAKENING MY SLEEP PART OF BRAIN SO I RARELY TO NEVER ACHIEVE R.E.M. NORCO WORKS FINE ALL DAY, FOR KNEES, BACK, NECK, EVEN BRAIN ACHES...JUST "WIRES" ME, SO I CAN NOT TAKE IT AT NIGHT! YET SICK OF AWAKENING IN BAD PAIN AT 2 OR 3 A.M. AL THE TIME. THEY TRIED XANAX,VALIUM,RESTORIL,AMBIEN,CLONAZEPAM...NOW THEY SURMIZE IT CAN NOT BE HELPED BY A SLEEP AIDE, BUT RATHER A TYPE OF PAIN MED THAT DOES NOT HAVE THAT "UPPITY" EFFECT ON ME, SO SOMETHING CHEMICALLY DIF THAN HYDROCODONE-

do you mean you think they make a 12hr, or do you mean they can allow it to be taken every 12 instead of 24 (which i agree is common for many time release as they don't last for all)...see, i ask b/c i don't want something in my system the next day as i use the norco throughout the day?

Thanks, yeah I still think I will bring it up...to try this med as it has a drowsy effect on me, I believe...Kadian, is chemically very dif from norco..correct?

THANKS FOR THE HELP, TALKED TO MY DOC AND HE AGREES W/THE STRATEGY BUT SAID HE CAN'T "CALL IT IN" (FL. IS SO STRICT), SO I HAVE TO DRIVE AN HOUR SOUTH TO PICK IT UP FRI. MORN.- BUT STILL EXCITED THAT THIS COULD GET ME THRU THE NIGHTS W/OUT WAKING IN BAD PAIN SEVERAL TIMES (AS IT MAKES ME DROWSY, WHERE NORCO WIRES ME)...WAS SUPRISED HOWEVER THAT HE SAID IT WOULD NOT CAUSE ME ANY PROBS. W/MY NORCO, THAT I COULD STILL TAKE THAT DURING DAY?? I REALISE THERE ARE A LOT OF PEOPLE ON HERE THAT THINK MY DOSAGE IS NOT SO BIG (6) 10/325 DAILY...BUT I STILL THOUGHT BY ADDING KADIAN TO THE MIX I WAS GOING TO HAVE TO ADJUST OR REDUCE NORCO...MAYBE HE IS GONNA GIVE ME A VERY SMALL DOSE...BUT WOULD THAT BE EFFECTIVE ON SOMEONE WHO HAS BEEN TAKING PAIN MEDS FOR A DECADE?
