I am a new forum user, and have a question, I've been reading some posts and you all sound so nice, and helpful and knowledgable. I am hoping you can help me. I was just prescribed fentora and was wondering how long does it take to disolve in my upper gums? And how long until I feel the effects of this new drug? I've been taking 60mg oxycodone ER, and my doc gave me these for break through pain. Can anyone help? I want relief - now!

by the way, I just took it and really really need some answers quickly, I don't know if it is working since I don't know how long it should take. For obvious reasons, I don't want to take any of my other pain meds since I have no idea how this is going to effect me, if this darn thing ever effects me....

Theoretically you should

Theoretically you should have no problems because this medication was approved specifically for breakthrough pain and should begin working with 15 minutes. Please keep in mind that this medication is one of the strongest if not the strongest breakthrough medication out on the market. Good Luck ;-)

Thank you for your quick reply. After about 30 minutes it worked. I was having a hard time getting it to disolve. I believe it is because I have sjogrens syndrome, so I have dry mouth. Which is probably why I was having a hard time getting it to disolve. Once it FINALLY did, it worked very quickly. Thank you again for your kindness in responding quickly.

Hey there, mobemy, I fell asleep and missed this thread when it was active. I hope the fentora worked for you, sounds like it did. I know I read about this drug in a chronic pain support group, and the users there said it worked, but really was no different in terms of how long it took than the actiq suckers. same drug, different delivery system, kind of. Let us know how well this worked, and Please if there is any way, post a picture for us if you have a camera or webcam. It would be most appreciated.
