I dont know what kind of pill this is, and the poison center couldnt help, cause I had a hard time explaining it. The shape of it is strange, perfectly round but like a cylinder. On one side it has G G but they are upside down and one on each end, so you have to rotate the pill upright to see one, and the other is upside down. On the other side is 2 5's...Same strange placement, having to rotate like a clock to see each one upright, but opposite side of the G's. Im sorry Im not very good at this. I have no idea what these are and have NO intention of taking them. Im just curious since Ive never seen them before. Thanks.
Thanks hopefully they can help, I only had a webcam for a pic at the moment, if nobody can help me Ill try and get a better one tomorrow when I find my digital.
Location (Country will do) will help. SOunds like the imprint is G5 imprinted on oppposite sides.
i know that there are new generic rapid release 500mg apap tabs that are imprinted G5 on either end so it might just be plain old apap if that imprint is correct.

Slightly better pictures, maybe this will help identify them. Im from the US and I assume these are too.
that is the exact same way that the newer generic extra strength tylenols look. i hate to jump the gun, but i am 99.9% sure that it is 500mg apap.
hopefully, someone can confirm that for me.

I dont know anything about medications, what exactly is it? Like, antibiotic, codeine, or is it just like a plain OTC tylenol?
Just plain tylenol OTC

Really?? I thought there woulda been tylenol on them or something, first time I've seen that.
I agree with phisher - but there is one 'if'. You said the tablet is perfectly round like a cylinder.
Here's an image of the 'fully dressed' G5 G5 generic ES Tylenol (500 mg acetaminophen):
I took off the blue and red coatings (they slide off easily), and the tablet looks exactly like your photo. But the sides are blunt and don't show up in the image.
Maybe you can see what I mean by blunt or flat sides with this image:
Look at the top of the K50 tablet - everything is rounded except the tablet perimeter. The G5 tablet has the same edge shaping.
If you go into Walgreens, Wal-Mart, basically any store including the grocery, look under analgesics, or pain in the medicine aisle. There are a lot of generic Tylenol. If it says Acetaminophen 500mg, or Acetaminophen 325, it is geeric Tylenol. Type in "Acetaminophen" in the search engine, we have a lot of pics of generic Tylenol. The one I'm most familiar with is L484.

Its quite long which is what made me ask if it was OTC cause its exactly 3/4 of an inch long, and its a cylinder but on the side of the pill, alll the way around, is a small 1mm flat spot that like I said, is all the way around the pill and is very slightly raise up from the rest of the pill, like a ring around it. Im sorry I dont have a better camera right now and I suck at decribing it. But I'm sure you're all right and its just tylenol or something.

Okay, 3/4" equals 19.05 millimeters. I have a crude caliper measuring thing, and I always round to the next number. G5 acetaminophen is 20 mm long (3/4 inch).
Flat spot all the way around the pill is an excellent description of the G5 pill. Better than my description.
I am 99.99% positive that we are talking about the same pill - 500 mg acetaminophen rapid release gelcap.
Sounds good, I guess I got something to take now if I have a little pain =D

FOADA,
Your description is fine.
I'm not finding anything at the moment. Give the top posters some time and they may have better luck with a larger search than I can provide right now.
It sounds like a REALLY interesting one though...
