I have tried different mg's of oxy and the 15mg of oxycodone seem much more potent then the 10mg of methadone, i mean ive taken 5 10mg of methadone and not even felt near as good as just 1-2 15mg oxycodone....Anyone else feel this way, also, wasn't Methadone created back during WWII when the nazis cut the supply chain of opium to oriental countries like china and japan so they're scientist had to make a chemical similar to opium, thus synthetic herion?
Popular misconception about the reason behind methadone, but from numerous sources that I've read, it is fiction. The reason that I have found that is most in line with other published and respected literature seems to say that Methadone was first synthesized in Germany by Max Brockmuhl in an attempt to find an analgesic that would be easier to use during surgery, and potentially less addictive.1
"A persistent but untrue urban legend claims that the trade name "Dolophine" was coined in tribute to Adolf Hitler by its German creators, and it is sometimes even claimed that the drug was originally named "adolphine" or "adolophine".2
I don't like to respond to why one med makes you feel one way or another, so I'll give a very broad sense answer as to why Oxycodone (not oxycontin) produced a different feeling than Methadone: Half-Life.
