liquid hydrocodoneHEY EVERYONE! I WAS WONDERING IF ANYONE CAN PLEASE TELL ME WHAT THE EQUIVALENCY IS FOR LIQUID HYDROCODONE AS OPOSED TO HYDROCODONE PILLS? Why would 10mg of tablet form be any different than 10mg of liquid form? The only difference is that the liquid form usually is prescribed for people who can not hold pills dow, or have trouble taking pills. IF SOMEONE TAKES LET'S SAY 5 LORTAB 10'S A DAY, THEN HOW MUCH OF THE LIQUID WOULD IT TAKE TO EQUAL THE SAME AMOUNT IN 5 PILLS IF THERE ARE OTHER THINGS IN THE LIQUID, OR IF IT IS DOSED AS SOMETHING OTHER THAN MG'S... LIKE I SAID, I CAN'T SEEM TO FIND ANYTHING ON IT CONCERNING THE AMOUNT IN ONE LIQUID BOTTLE, OR ANY TYPE OF CONVERSION CHART TO STATE HOW MUCH YOU WOULD NEED TO TAKE TO EQUAL YOUR AMOUNT OF NORMAL PILLS IF IT IS NOT ALL JUST IN MG LIKE PILL FORM.... I've never been rx'd liquid
I've never been rx'd liquid hydrocodone, so I wouldn't know the specifics. However; liquid medications tend to work quicker than a tablet. If this has been Rx'd to you, take it as prescribed and you'll be fine, the doctors know what they are doing when they Rx medications like this. I missed this the first time I posted, so I'm revising it. You asked: "what if it is dosed in something other than mgs?" I'm assuming that it is more than likely dosed in cc's. There should be something that says 5cc's=Xmg of hydrocodone. If that is the case, you'll have to do the math on that end. Gtrplayer OK, THANKS ALOT FOR YOUR
OK, THANKS ALOT FOR YOUR INPUT, HOWEVER.......SOMEONE PRESCRIBED THAT WOULD NEED TO KNOW ANYWAYS IF THEY HADN'T TOLD THEIR DOCTOR THAT THEY ARE USED TO TAKING A CERTAIN AMOUNT ALREADY....YOU KNOW, SOMEONE WHO IS CLEANING UP FROM BEING ADDICTED TO IT AND/OR WHO IS STILL ADDICTED TO IT. Is there anyway you can find out what exactly it is that your friend has? I mean, what does the bottle say? If we know the drug name, we can find out the available strengths. Right now, I'm not sure if you're talking about something like Tussionex, Codimal DH, Lortab Elixir, etc,etc, see what I'm saying? If you find out the drug name, we can tell you what the mg's are. It's not going to be difficult at all, assuming that he/she doesn't just say "it's liquid hydrcodone". If possible, we need to know verbatim, what the bottle says. Gtrplayer YES, I WILL HAVE TO FIND

HERE'S THE DEAL: HE CALLED ME AND ASKED IF I KNEW ANYTHING ABOUT LIQUID LORTAB OR WHATEVER, AND I KNOW THAT IT IS HYDROCODONE, SO I ASSUMED IT BEING CALLED LIQUID HYDROCODONE OR SYRUP..... I HAVE NO IDEA WHERE HE IS GETTING THIS STUFF, AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN IT. SO I WILL HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL HE CALLS BACK. I PERSONALLY WILL NOT SEE THE BOTTLE, SO I WILL JUST HAVE TO REPEAT WHAT HE SAYS ON HERE IF I HEAR BACK FROM HIM.... I understand, and I hope my post didn't seem rude. I just don't want to state the wrong amounts, as they vary from preparation to preparation. There is a Lortab Elixir, but then again, there are a bunch of cough medications that contain "liquid hydrocodone". They all vary, for instance, something like Codimal DH has something like 2.2mg of hydrocodone, or less in some preparations, while something like Codiclear can have 5mgs of hydrcodone per 5mL, or teaspoonful, along with other medications like guaifenesin.
