W926 - found in teenagers possession.I see from an earlier post that this is Enalapril 20 mg An ACE inhibitor antihypertensive medication. Controls high blood pressure. My question is why would my teenage son have it? He also had a pill marked 952 - which looks from search to be an ADD drug. ( categories: Discussion of Prescription and OTC Meds )
What color is the tablet,
What color is the tablet, and what besides 952 is on the tablet?
The two drugs are completely different, if they look like either of these. Also, taking a blood pressure drug not prescribed to the patient is dangerous, even though it does not produce a high. If the teenager has a healthy blood pressure, and takes blood pressure medication, he/she may bottom out from low blood presssure.
Gtrplayer Focalin contains
Focalin contains dexmethylphenidate, while the picture in the first pill contains dextroamphetamine, so the two are both ADD drugs, yet chemically different. I was hoping maybe he just didn't take his ADD medication and that's what you found. Has his doctor prescribed any blood pressure meds for him that you know of? Stimulants can often cause the heart rate and blood pressure to go up. Gtrplayer He hasn't taken his Focalin
He hasn't taken his Focalin for a couple weeks - I quite trying to force them down him after I found them stashed in a drawer - I figured if he wasn't taking them (he'd make it look like he did) anyway - I was afraid he'd try to sell them at school. He's never been prescribed blood pressure meds - never had a problem with his bp. |
