I would like some advice on muscle relaxers. I have generic Flexeril and I also have generic Robaxin. I would like to know in someone's "opinion" which one would work better for lower back pain. The doctor say I have problems with my cyatic{sp} nerve and I am already taking 800mg Ibuprofen, for my jaw and the doctor also said it would help with the inflammation in my back. Any help would be greatly appreciated
Robaxin (methocarbamol) and Robaxacet (methocarbamol with acetaminophen) are both available without an Rx and without talking to the pharmacist in Canada just incase no one knew. I guess this could be looked at as a measure of its effectiveness. They dont really make drugs that are very "good" availble OTC.
my husband has the same problem with his back and his doctor prescribes him the generic flexeril and ibuprofen 8oomg(for inflammation) and he takes them together and it helps him out alot
I have used several differnt ones over the years. Flexaril will make you pretty thirsty, but I found that better than Robaxin. I have Rx for Soma, after a while the same med stopped working on me. I was sharing on another post about my starting on Cymbalta a few months ago. My friends say I could do a commercial. I have chomped on alot of differnt pain meds and muscle relaxors over the past 15 years and Never have I ever felt a steady relief like this. I have bouts with sciatic nerve trouble but my discs in my neck are messed up and I have that constant radiating shoulder pain. I was really at the end of my rope not getting any actual relief from my Norco or anything else that I came across. I still have all of my original Rx's in case I need them but honestly this Cymbalta is working. Good luck to you

I don't know that much about it so any info I can get will be helpful and be very much appreciated. Also I have some Relafen 750mg and I was wondering if I could get any info on that as well. Thank you very much in advance. Jeannie888
