Numbers & Letters are what we need to ID tablets from the US. Some foreign manufacturers can be figured out based on a logo, but the exact drug will be hard to identify since many foreign manufacturers make different drugs that are the same color. That being said, do you know the country of origin?

PS- Please don't post the website if it is an "online pharmacy".

Ahh, the "Sibutramine" is

Ahh, the "Sibutramine" is what we needed, glad you had the blister packs!

Yes, your pill could be some sort of diet pill. Here is a link to Wikipedia's definition and history of Sibutramine.

To paraphrase Wikipedia, Sibutramine is a CIV medication in the US. The FDA granted approval of the drug in November of 1997 for treatment of obesity. The pill increases reuptake of Seratonin, Norepinephrine, and Dopamine, yet has never exhibited any anti-depressant qualities.

Interesting reading, you might want to read up on the drug as well.

Just for clarification, the Tartrazine is a color.

I have found a picture of

I have found a picture of the 10 mg (orange) in an online pharmacy, but not the yellow 15 mg.   THey are identical to my pack except for the color.  I am just alittle apprehensive about taking due to the fact that I cannot confirm that they are actually what the pack says they are. Is there anyway to know for sure?   Am I stupid to take them with out confirmation???(Might be a dumb question- but i am allowed one a day and haven't played my "dumb" card for today.

I can not tell you if taking

I can not tell you if taking any medication is safe or not, I'm not a doctor or anything of the sort, however, here are the answers I can give you, and you decide from there.

You already know what Sibutramine is.

Tartrazine is the yellow coloring.

Assuming that each of these pills come out of the blister pack (i.e. you are pushing them out of the pack as you take them), then the pills should be 15mg Sibutramine, yellow colored, tablets.

If these came from a "pharmacy" that sends the pills out in a box, with a baggie containing the pills and one blister strip, then I'd be a little apprehensive. But, if you are pushing the pills out as you take them, I'm not sure what the problem would be. Am I missing something in your post?

you are not missing

you are not missing anything...i do not think.   It is a reputable online pharmacy (in my opinion).  Have followed up with emails to assure that i received my purchase.  Just not the normal packaging  (bottle)that i am use to and being that i have only taken the brand name in the past, the different look of the generic caught me alittle off guard.  Thanks for you help!!
