BP650
I'm glad you brought up this pill again. We've been looking for almost a month since the question was first posted and didn't find anything. I just checked a couple of databases, and the imprint is now in one of them. Round peach tablet imprinted BP 650 is benzphetamine hydrochloride 50 mg, a drug used for weight loss. It's made by Boca Pharmacal and was approved by the FDA in April 2007. I'm not a pharmacist or a medical doctor. This message is not medical advice nor is it an offer to provide medical advice. All drug identifications should be validated by a licensed MD or pharmacist. It's Okay
Yes, I checked the FDA after finding the imprint in the database since I like confirmation. And I didn't see Boca listed. But a quick search for Boca Pharmacal found the website, confirmation of the imprint and this press release: Quote:
And Tedor is listed by the FDA, so all is okay. I'm not a pharmacist or a medical doctor. This message is not medical advice nor is it an offer to provide medical advice. All drug identifications should be validated by a licensed MD or pharmacist. NDC Number
Yes, it is kind of weird. I can't find a prescribing insert but I assume Tedor is making the tablets for Boca to market. The NDC is Boca's - 64376 - yet benzphetamine is not listed under Boca's approvals. Maybe the NDC is not yet updated to reflect the marketing agreement? I'm not a pharmacist or a medical doctor.
