If you are interested in getting this pill lab tested I can PM a link to a website that does it for $120. There might be cheaper ones if you look around a lot.
How old is your kid? If he said they were "supposed" to be percocet, that probably means that he bought them off the street from someone, and could possibly have a drug-abuse problem. I suggest you take him to a doctor, a counselor, or drug rehab program, or wherever else that can address this problem.
the fact that he was honest with you and told you what it was supposed to be is a good sign, as well as the fact that if he were addicted, or been taking them for a long time then he would have known that with no imprint that there is no way that it could be percocet. This is a sign that he must not have been taking/abusing pills for very long, if at all. It may just be a possiblity that a friend gave it to him to try, or something along those lines. Either way though, I would say this is a sign that he has access to illegal or diverted drugs, and needs extra watching and "the talk" at the very least.
As anothe poster commented, this may be just a vitamin, or breath mint or something that another person was trying to pass off as a pain medicine. However, you should look for scrape marks, to see if someone scraped off an imprint. There is a law now that all pills must have some type of original marking or imprint so it can be identified. If there is no imprint, then it cannot be percocet as your son said. Also, there is a possiblity that this could be an illegal drug such as ecstacy. The only way you will be able to truly tell what it is, is to have it tested as someone else suggested.
Whatever you do though, I would strongly suggest finding your son some type of help while you can still make an impression. Good luck!

hello, well without a imprint it is impossible to id a pill. It may be a otc, vitamin and or illegal illecit drugs such as mdma, extasy. Im really sorry but a pill with no imprint at all is no way ID'd without lab testing which is very very expensive.
