I always forget about him. He has put together some of the most progressive jazz ensembles ever. I mean, he has had 2 of the best electric bass players ever: Jaco Pastorius and Christian McBride. Bela Fleck has played with him, Scofield, Dimeola, etc, etc. You ever hear of Snake Oil Medicine Show? They are out of North Carolina, and are a reggea/bluegrass/texas swing (ala Bob Wills) type of fusion. Good Stuff. Yes, i have seen SOMS a few
Yes, i have seen SOMS a few times. i live not too far from where they are from. in fact, they even mention my city in one of their songs (Johnson City). Bela Fleck is awesome (seen him more times than i can remember). I love seeing him by himself or with the Flecktones. all thoughts and opinions expressed are those of my own and should not be mistaken for medical advice. i am not a doctor nor a pharmacist. all medical questions should be answered by a licensed pharmacist, doctor, or primary care manager. PAT Metheny
i love pat and hope to see him someday. I think he is currently touring in europe. my favorite song by him is Phase Dance or American Garage i play my drums to those tracks. also i just went to see the Disco Biscuits in New York at the nokia theatre it was awsome! and i really like the nokia theatre it was really new age and cool the best part about it was that its general admission and its pretty intimate I was right up front. |
