I personally like UnderOATH and Atreyu. Im obsessed with techno and tance as well. DJ Encore, ATB, DJ Tiesto. Red Hot Chili Peppers, Sum 41, Green Day, Blink-182. I'll listen to some rap here and there like Lil' Wayne, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross, DJ Khalad, Eminem.

I love the way rap has come

I love the way rap has come back to the dirty south.  I also like Jezzy, rick ross, Paul Wall, Cadillac Don, lil wayne, 36-mafia, UGK, Snoop, Dre, and Above all Tupac Shakur.  I also like the classic stuff like Jimmy Hendrix, Pink Floyd, Doors, Widespread Panic, Metallica, Led Zepplin, Gov't mule, Pantera (RIP dimebag Darrell), SRV, and the like.  I haven't got into any new Rock music, as most seems to be crap these days.  If it sounds good I'll listen to it.

Check with a liscensed MD before you take any suggestions!

Enjoy the Phish.  Disco

Enjoy the Phish.  Disco Biscuits.  Anything enjoyable, which is completely subjective.

Why Not

I might as well jump in.  I mainly listen to guitar based music, like Peo Kindgren, Erik Mongrain, as well as the usual- Clapton, Hendrix, & SRV.  My main interests are in Folk, Blues, and Country music.  Bob Dylan and Clapton are mainstays on my iPod, but I can listen to just about anything.

I prefer mostly

I prefer mostly indie/obscure stuff like Les Savy Fav, Minus the Bear, Rage Against the Machine,At the Drive-In, Sparta, Death From Above 1979, Do Make Say Think, Fugazi, Rancid,  Bear vs shark.

I don't care much for most music on the radio since I find it to be "manufactured" per say. But I do listen to public radio and 70s rock stations now and then.

All kinds

Pink Floyd (when Gilmore and Waters were together)  Rolling Stones, Diamond Rio, Sting, Ray Charles, John Lee Hooker, Eagles, Allman Brothers (used to watch them for free in the park when Duane was alive) Johnny Cash, Keith Urban are a few.

Some jazzy like Yellow Jackets, Rippingtons......good stuck in the traffic tunes.  Actually Traffic was pretty good too.

Generally, Blues, Rock, Blues/Rock, Simple feel good music.  Some Country.  Some newer music.....Deftones, Sevendust, Dark New Day, Korn.  I "try" to play guitar and play with a band called "Ipod" (LOL). We play all the above stuff.  Love to make stuff up as I go and call it writing songs.

Do you still have the NKOTB poster up next to your Corey Haim shrine?

You forgot to mention LFO.

I would feel lost without

I would feel lost without listening to PBR every night. Being an insomniac this particular PBR plays some type of jazz up until the midnight hour, then have some of the best talk radio IMO. and I am a talk radio nut. This station plays some type of jazz and hardbop has been my favorite for well over 30 years

I can deal with some talk

I can deal with some talk radio. Just not when they talk about stocks and politics. I shiver when it comes to politics. Absolutely hate it.

My parent's would always

My parent's would always have NPR locked on the dial when I was growing up and anytime I don't feel like listening to my music I put on NPR. I do despise pledge weeks though.

Pledge week, HAHA. Ever

Pledge week, HAHA. Ever notice how they are always just "a couple calls away from reaching our goal"?

One of the NPR stations around here switches over to the BBC Radio at 12:00am.  Nice to see all of the NPR & PBR listeners.

I guess mine is a mix between hip/hop, r&b, alternative, and light rock? I like Nickelback, Hinder, 3 Doors Down, Hoobastank, Creed, Matchbox 20, etc.

Rez

Rez started as Resurrection Band in late 60's early 70s'.  They hosted the Fish Festivals and are one of the "founding fathers" of modern christian rock.  Their music is generally hard rock or hard blues.  They are part of a unique community: http://www.jpusa.org/

Pat Metheny

I always forget about him. He has put together some of the most progressive jazz ensembles ever. I mean, he has had 2 of the best electric bass players ever: Jaco Pastorius and Christian McBride. Bela Fleck has played with him, Scofield, Dimeola, etc, etc.

You ever hear of Snake Oil Medicine Show? They are out of North Carolina, and are a reggea/bluegrass/texas swing (ala Bob Wills) type of fusion. Good Stuff.

Bela Fleck is awesome (seen him more times than i can remember). I love seeing him by himself or with the Flecktones.
